I gotta be honest, didn't expect a raspberry Pi case to be "premium" but this one surely is.
It is heavy, and the case design and supplied A/V and sound board that comes with it to move all the connections to the back is truly a game changer for cases.
The case was easy to assemble to the Pi board, save for a slight alignment issue with the two boards mating together, there is a miniscule fraction that the board is crooked on the connection on mine where the power usb-c plug coming out of the case from the Pi board is a tad crooked matching up to the hole in the case for the power port. It says to push the boards together very firmly to allow for firm connection, when I did that, the two boards overlapped one another and one sat on top of the other and the screw holes didn't align up, and it was slightly crooked. I had to pull them apart just slightly to align the screw holes to mount boards to the case. The power plug port on the board is still slightly off when aligning to the power port hole on the case, but it doesn't affect the plug in any way from being able to be plugged into the connection on the board.
I haven't turned it on yet, but this is a solid premium case with a great feature that all cases should have anyway, why anyone would want their connections on the front of the case, or the sides is beyond me, it should be like a full size computer cases are with all connections in the back and out of sight, and this case fixes that design error by other manufacturers.
I am so impressed with this case, I'll be buying more for my other projects.

The only con I would note is the supplied thermal "paste" pads to help with cooling, are pretty much worthless and wouldn't stick to the sections the instructions say to put on the heatsinks on the case, the thin and fragile paste crumbled in my hand when trying to gently apply it to the two sections they advise. It would be fine I think to just leave it off, as the metal case acts as it's own heatsink and allows heat to escape anyway, plus there is a built in fan that comes with the case already, so essentially two ways to cool the board with this case.
All in all, this is a fantastic case, I don't imagine there is currently anything on the market that will top it.
It does not come with a power supply, so you will have to order one separately, I webt ahead and ordered the matching same brand power supply to be safe.
So stop reading these reviews and just buy it already, you will be glad you did.

I thought it was a super high quality aluminum case with fan included. The daughter board has hdmi mini to hdmi standard adapters included. I have to say this is nothing like the cheesy cases in the Cana kits. The expansion to hold an M.2 NVME drive is an excellent option. My Raspberry Pi boots super quick now and benchmarks at 350 MB/s - 10x the SD Card speed. I will definitely buy this again.

This Argon One aluminum case is a flawlessly engineered work of art. The designer(s) put a lot of attention to every single detail while crafting this case. It feels very solid. It has a nice weight to it, and will not move or get pulled around by the cables. The Pi fits snugly inside, and is well protected. Even the power supply is of high quality. The transformer is nice and heavy, and the cable is soft, yet sturdy. The power button has a nice tactile click. The USB-C power connector fits just right, without any amount of play. The included HDMI/Audio PCB extender is a perfect fit, and nicely made as well. The PCB extender is the perfect solution to having all the ports located on the back side of the case. The case itself is the heat-sink for the pi, and it has a fan built into it, keeping the Pi very cool, even when under heavy work loads.

I have quite a few cases for the Pi, and I have never, ever fallen in love with one, like I have with the Argon One. It's gorgeous, and the most functional case I have ever had hands on.

Also, last but not least, the instructions even, are of excellent quality. Everything is explained step by step, clearly. The Argon One has raised the bar on Pi cases. Their craftsmanship surpasses all others. I will be buying another one for another Pi project that I am putting together.

This is a great little case. I am happy with every aspect of it. This is my first and only raspberry pi case, but based on what I've seen of other cases, this one is the best case for me.
    - I really want to have the GPIO pins easily accessible. This case puts them just under a flap, where they are accessible but not constantly exposed, so the case still looks sleek. It is convenient that the case labels and colors the pins. Also, the cutout for the pins is large enough to comfortably plug in a 40-pin cable.
    - I want the case to look nice on my desk! This case looks super sleek and spacey, kind of like an Alienware computer case. The red power LED behind the smokey plastic isn't too bright and looks satisfying and cool, kind of like HAL or something. The case looks like a finished product, not a hobby project.
    - I like the power button -- makes it feel more like a real computer.
    - I like the full-sized HDMI plug -- keeps me from having to buy another adapter.
    - The assembly is explained well in the instructions and went quickly and smoothly.
    - I don't have much experience with Raspberry Pis, but I was concerned about temperature control. I ran the stressberry test on it (see the attached image) and it performed very well, with the temperature staying below 51C
    - I heard about this from the DroneBotWorkshop comparison of RPi cases. He says this case limited his Wifi signal. I haven't tested my RPi with the case on and off so I don't know if the case is limiting the signal at all, but I'm getting 40Mbps down and 5Mbps up. That's roughly what I get with my laptop and it works fine for me.
    - Another reviewer says his had sharp edges. Mine is very cleanly manufactured -- the lines are super clean and everything fits together really well.

Overall, I am super happy with this case and would absolutely buy it again.

5.0 out of 5 stars Top notch quality and style!

I was suprised by the quality of the parts.
The top of the case is aluminum which serves as a heatsink and comes with silicone thermal pads.
There are two daughter boards that serve to reroute the GPIO and hdmi/audio which seem of very good quality. ( nice components, nice welds without burns or traces of flux )
Also included are four stick-on rubber feet.

I had a very small fitment issue where the boards are off by a tiny bit but this doesn't interfere with the port openings it just meant i had to squeze a bit until i had put the screws in. I belive this is the cause for the second very small problem, that the case doesn't sit flush and has a slight wobble.
These small issues aren't enough for me to remove a star from this product.

    9.9/10 Would definitely reccomend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Impressive and neat little case!

I had in my mind that this case would be somewhat bigger than it actually is. Perfect well made little case and everything fitted together nicely. Just beware of the pins used by the case for the power button and fan control as the power button uses the same GPIO as the default 1-Wire GPIO pin and the fan uses the I2C bus. The 1-Wire pin can be changed in the Pi’s boot configuration and the I2C bus supports multiple devices so it wasn’t a deal breaker. The Pi runs much cooler now due to the heatsink being integrated into the case which makes for a larger cooling area and I find it is running some 8-10 degrees cooler even without the fan running. Beats any of those stick on heat sinks hands down. My setup is running Docker with Portainer that is running multiple containers of Node-Red and Grafana. It’s yet to break a sweat and have the fan kick in which starts at a default setting of 50C.

5.0 out of 5 stars Got version 2 of the case! Great!
Reviewed in Canada on January 3, 2021
I ordered this and, it my surprise, I got version 2 of the case! I like it better than what is pictured in the product info page. The primary difference that I see is that it uses fulll-sized HDMI ports instead of the mini ones included on the Pi board itself. This is a welcome modification but the product pictures should reflect this so people will know what they are getting.

The case is pretty sturdy so the passive cooling works very well. I like the built-in power button and the instructions to download the Raspberry Pi OS scripts to control it and the internal fan work fine. The only thing I don't like is the panel that covers access to the GPIO pins use magnets to keep it in place. I could use tape to keep it in place when the magnets lose their attraction if worse comes to worse but I still would like a physical mechanism to keep the panel in place.

I would recommend this case if you want a Pi 4 case with a fan, an on/off button, and access to the GPIO pins.
