Even though you've never heard of her, Emily Smith has in only a few months become one of the most prolific contemporary writers of our time. No matter what the subject, if it is related to any living movie star, she will have a "Handbook - Everything You Need to Know About XYZ" book about them - guaranteed. For a second there, her encyclopedic celebrity knowledge seems impressive, until you realize it is all copied from Wikipedia - not that this little detail is ever really mentioned in her books. Hundreds of different titles, all sold directly by amazon and/or its marketplace sellers. Sometimes the author name is different (or has been changed from Emily Smith), sometimes it disappears altogether, sometimes only the publisher (Tebbo or Emereo) is listed, or the cover has been changed, but they are all one and the same. Don't be fooled.

The introduction to many of her books helpfully explains that their content was generated by volunteers (not clarifying that it's those who contribute to Wikipedia). "Nothing found here has necessarily been reviewed by people with the expertise required to provide you with complete, accurate, or reliable information.. all used third-party trademarks belong to their respective owners. Contains selected content from the highest rated entries, typeset, printed and shipped, combining the advantages of up-to-date and in-depth knowledge with the convenience of printed books.."

It's nothing new. Internet security expert and author Ben Rothke was among the first to figure out what was going on with this new crop of "content farmers" who have learned how to abuse the system and resell free online content through legitimate retail outlets.

I would give this load of garbage ZERO stars if I could. Do yourself a gigantic favor and do not waste one penny or one second on this book. It was a bunch of jumbled information about every single show and person who has ever been on Nickelodeon; then page after drawn out page of Boca, Florida; and then finished up with every teen pop bubble gum song recorded. This was an absolute joke! Why would anyone ever have agreed to publish such JUNK!!!! It was not reader friendly at all--it was like trying to read sections of encyclopedias. I am so disgusted that I had to waste $5 on postage and 20 minutes of my life returning this mess.

This book was not what I anticipated. I expected a book devoted to Ariana Grande with lots of photos and background information on her specifically. This had NO pictures! It was like a black and white reference guide with detailed demographic information on Florida, other Nickelodeon stars, various program, script and filmography information. THE ONLY GOOD PICTURE OF ARIANA IS ON THE COVER! I am not sure how this would appeal to anyone in her fan base without pictures and personal stats on Ariana?! . I was very disappointed and felt duped! It was like someone took several Wikipedia entries, printed them in a book. DO NOT BUY THIS BOOK. You will be disappointed!

This was NOT a book about Ariana at all! Sure she was mentioned on a page or two; but this book is not at all a "bio" of Ariana. It is not even in a reader-friendly format....buyer beware!!
