nice short top, and the leather is soft. insole is comfortable without adding any padding and the outsole doesn't leave marks on my floor. looks like they will last a long time.
I went with some durango boots before getting these, and ended up returning those and going back to Ariat. I'm glad I did, these are much better boots.
I ordered 2 sizes (9 and 9.5) because the other sizing reviews had me undecided and wanted to be able to compare them side by side. In most shoes I'll wear a 9.5 wide or 10 D partially because my high arch and wide foot are a tough fit. Occasionally A 9 will fit my foot but my high arch makes most of them uncomfortable. In the Sierra the 9 fit (with light weight wool socks) - the arch was a bit snug on my bigger foot but I can tell it will stretch. I've found with western boots if it's looser initially it will become too loose and the heel will slide up and down. My conclusion is size down if you need to.
This is probably not an issue with the boots, but it might keep me from ordering them without being able to try on the specific pair im purchasing in the future. Gonna try a shoe stretcher on the toes and get an insert for the heel i guess. Once again, this could be due to a slight size difference between my feet. First ever pair of lace free boots.
To be clear, I have the unlined version, not waterproof and just leather on skin if you're wearing short socks for some reason. Still feels OK. Will probably get version with lining next go around. Ordered the "Workhog" boot at the same time as these to compare and these were more comfortable out of the box - likely due to different, stiffer sole with shank on the Workhog.

These boots arrived faster than I expected. I got these for my son who is on his feet a lot. He absolutely loves them. He also has a pair in brown.Published 13 days ago by Soula
May have been better to go smaller but wider width. Boot fit, in general, is tough. Just a bit off one way or other and they do not feel good. Read morePublished 1 month ago by Scott S. Tinsley
Outstanding product like always Ariat. Just wish I could get sales in the size 13's. Thank you.Published 1 month ago by Enrique Vazquez
As most reviews have said they fit big. I wear a 11 normally so I got 10 1/2. The first day my heal rubbed for about an hour but the fit was really good. Plenty of room in the tow. Read morePublished 2 months ago by Booster363
