If this is your first time ever buying a pair of western boots, I usually find that in any brand, my boot size is always half size smaller than my sneaker size. I wear size 8 sneakers/ topsiders/ paddock boots, but western boots I wear 7.5.
*update* one year later, I have worn these boots a lot. I had to spend some time stuffing a fat roll of the Sunday paper in them to get the tops pushed out and not rub, the canvas doesn't break in quite like the leather tops. As much as I use them and as filthy muddy as they get, I just wipe them off and you would think I only owned them for a month. These boots are holding up great! I still highly recommend, and I am certain these boots will continue to last through several more years of working on the farm and riding.
Most of my other boots and shoes are an 8.5 or euro 39. The Fatbaby boots I purchased on the auction website were an 8 and I was a little skeptical about the fit because I normally wear a size 8.5 shoe and can even go to a size 9 in a boot with thick socks on my feet. I have average width feet, not wide or narrow; I have a high arch and instep as well as a hammertoe on my left foot. (TMI?). However, the size 8 was perfect! So, I purchased these new Fatbaby Cowgirl boots in an 8, mostly because they were $20 less than the size 8.5 which I likely would have bought if the prices were the same.
Once again, the size 8 fits perfectly right from the start, even in a brand new boot! These fit like a shoe approved by the American Orthopedic Association but look as fashionable (Wild?) as the Cowgirls that I imagine they were intended for! I wear these boots with medium weight wool blend socks.Read more ›

They're super cute but run a tad small. I'd probably go up 1/5 a size when I order my next pair.Published 27 days ago by Amazon Customer
