The Aris Effect Kindle Edition
REALLY loving someone??
Two totally different things…
Aris Collier is a masterful artist but, when it comes to the art of love, she couldn’t be further from her comfort zone…
For Luke and Aris, it’s all fun and games until their work and general differences get in the way. Soon, Aris is falling from cloud nine into the reality of a live-in life with Luke where she’s failing forward almost every day. On the flip side, Aris is thriving in her new career. It’s much easier to navigate and a lot less complicated…especially the synergy she finds with Troy Murphy, her partner-in-art whose mere presence begins to undermine her life with Luke.
As Aris struggles to maintain a practical balance, she learns that loving Luke Donovan is effortless…but maneuvering the nuances of a real relationship? Not so much. It’s a simple truth that she quickly discovers the hard way, forcing Aris to either confront the contradictions within herself or continue to take unnecessary gambles that just may end up costing her the love of her life…

Their space together gets severely tested because of someone from his past and her new current. Each discovers they have never encountered these difficulties ever. Aris has to learn to put on her "big girl panties" and get it together or run like she always has. Luke has to settle his mind, body and soul to see if maybe he made a mistake.
Luke is not sure he can trust her with all of who he is. Read this sequel to see if they can weather the storm or get lost in the raging winds that surround them.
A great read Ms.Lamar, thank you for giving us more...
Luke is the man that loves his woman Aris, and she almost losses him when she can't seem to get herself together. She is still carrying baggage and past hurts from past relationships and family issues. But the love of a good man gives her the strength she needs to get her life on track.
I really enjoy the authors writing style and I do hope to maybe see Aris and Luke show up in some of her later works. They are a couple I would like to know how much more their relationship grows.

Both Luke and Aris made some mistakes, but I think most of them were on her. The background story of her being an artist makes her quirkiness understandable but exasperating at the same time. I rode the roller coaster that is Aris right along with Luke, but I'm glad he stayed on when I was ready to jump off and shake her silly. Very good book Rae Lamar...can't wait for the next one.

This story had real potential and captured the challenges that new couples face when moving in with each other and with the added factor of how Luke and Aris got together in the first place. I did feel like there were bits missing that could have made for even better reading. Like Aris confronting Troy after what he told Luke. Luke and Aris just seemed to be all lovey dovey again too soon after Troy's revelation that was a bit unrealistic for me.
Still worth a read if you've read Dawn of Aris and want to read their journey. I went through several emotions when reading this, and lost count of how many times I wanted to jump in the book and slap the stupid out of Aris.
A tip for the author would be to describe the characters. The only person I had an image of was Jessica that was only because of the comparison to Tracey Edmonds
