Perfect bracket. This did exactly what I needed. Mounting to the seat bolt was easy, and it is flexible, but very sturdy. I was able to get my radio just where I wanted in Toyota Tundra.

This is my second mount of this type and I couldn't be happier. The seat bolt mount makes installation a snap and the supplied bracket will allow you to mount almost any remote radio head. The supplied hardware gives you multiple mounting options for both the goose-neck mount and the mounting bracket

If you want to mount two heads, for just a few $, an exacto blade, and a small drill, you can cut a piece of plexiglass and mount both factory OEM brackets to one side and the Arkon bracket to the other. I bought a small sheet plexiglass, measured, and marked a piece just slightly wider and taller than the two OEM brackets (in my case it was a Yaesu FT-8800 and an Icom IC-706MKIIG), used the exacto blade to score the plastic then snapped off the excess. I positioned the two radio head brackets, market the best mounting holes, then drilled them. I then determined the best position for the Arkon bracket, marked the holes on the plastic then drilled those and assembled everything with 4/40 screws, split washers and nuts.

PROS: Very flexible mouthing options, solid made, inexpensive
CONS: Only one I have encountered so far is that the nub on the end of the main piece that the radio mounting bracket slides onto (the small shadow on the face of the main mount in the upper left of the picture) can snap off if the mounted head is bumped hard, but this is rare (still, it is the reason I had to buy a second one, I couldn't find a source for just the tip...)

I wasn't sure what to expect with this mount but it actually works very well. I use it to mount a satellite receiver in my work van. It was easy to install and it holds the receiver securely enough that I can control the functions on the RX with one hand but it flexes enough that I can easily reposition the RX if needed.

Very sturdy unit. However, once I installed it, I can't get to the two screws that hold the bottom bracket to the rod/holder. Naturally, one of the little suckers had loosened up, which meant taking everything apart for a re-installation. However, I would definitely recommend this unit and would buy it again.

Although I didn't buy this for its intended use (as a satellite radio mount), it worked perfectly for my purposes. I wanted to mount an after market backup camera in my truck. I am not fond of windshield suction cup mounts or adhesive mounts attached to the dash. With just a little ingenuity I was able to modify the backup camera mount and use this as its mount instead. It works great and it keeps the camera steady and off the dash and windshield!

I bought this item to mount my  SIRIUS Stratus 6 Dock-and-Play Radio with Car Kit (Black) . I didn't like the cheesy vent mounts (very flimsy and unstable and obscured the airflow from the vent) and the other mounting options out there just weren't all that appealing. I looked at window mounts, cup-holder mounts, cd-slot mounts, and custom plates designed to mount into the dash panel. All of them obscured something and several were quite pricey. This mount takes the radio completely out of the way of your instruments and the gear shift knob, while still keeping it in a convenient place to operate. It is sturdy, does not wobble or shake excessively, and is fully adjustable. I ran all of the wires from the radio (power, audio, antenna) through the sleeve that covers the gooseneck to hide them from view. Aside from the fact that my seat bolt had obviously been torqued down by Attila the Hun at the factory, installation was a snap. Would definitely recommend.

NOTE: The product description states 15-inch, but the item that arrived was 18-inch. This should not pose a problem, just thought I would mention it.

It may work well for trucks which have the seats on rails or something like that but for passenger vehicles it's about 4 inches too short. This one has the correct connector for my Qi charger phone though. 1 male prong for my female receptacle. Too bad it wasn't longer. Akron has a nice 22" one I ordered first but it had a 22MM ball and two male prong plate. Perfect length but ball was too large to switch out my ball adapter and of course 2 male prongs won't work for the 1 female receptacle. Seems like Akron should provide this one in a 22" option as well. Or maybe the other one with a single male prong option.

An added update: The seat bolt adapter doesn't work well with later model Toyota Camrys. You have to shove it under the seat bracket and it's not long enough to make it up to the bolt itself. If you have a Toyota Camry or other vehicle with a different type of seat attachment to the chasis you will probably need to use the triangle adapter and drill holes to attach.
