The thing I like best about this book, I think, is that most of the subjects she muses on and most of the incidents she describes are perfectly ordinary, things we all think about from time to time, or things that have happened to many of us. (Well, not all of them – for example I've never had an armadillo trapped in the bathroom, and I hope you haven't either.) It's just her take on these things that cracks me up. She seems like someone I'd enjoy knowing. I would love to sit at a table with her and hear her tell me about her day. I'd just have to be on constant guard against snorting coffee out my nose.
