After being away for 2 years, Mark calls home to Stephen because he's badly beaten up and a stab wound to his leg. Going home wasn't what he had hoped to find. He had hoped Stephen and him could get back together after Stephen had ended their relationships months ago.
Mark's agony of choosing between his career and the man he loves was confusing and difficult for him, more so because he felt obliged to his boss. This obligation twisted and strained their relationship, but to me it was the third person in the mix that helped make Mark's decision.
Anyone that loves Josh's books will love this one as well. Added to you list of books to read, you won't regret it.
Wow, just wow. I read this in one sitting. Loved every word, every punctuation mark. I think I licked my tablet to get all the goodness. Have I read a plot like this before, yep. Did this deter me, NO! It pushed all my buttons and I pushed right back.
This is a story about partnered Special Agents Taylor and Brandt. They are the best at what they do because they fit so well together. When they find out that they even share being gay, well that becomes the icing on the cake and the thorn in Taylor's side. He wants Will so bad and is in love with him. Taylor's track record sucks, so Will has walled himself off to the idea of the partnership becoming more. While on camping vacation with Taylor recovering from being shot, they discover a downed plane with the mystery of a casino heist wrapped around it. It's fast paced, tightly written, not a word wasted. The sex is amazing.
I give it a mountain full of stars.
The book is larger and much heavier than I expected. It's tiring to carry it around and certainly impossible to bring it on holiday. However, the feel of flipping through pages while rereading it makes it worth all the while. That's the kind of fun I miss most with my Kindle.
After the Adrien English series, this is my favorite Josh Lanyon series. Will and Taylor are funny, exasperating, and will make a great couple if they can keep from getting killed...Highly recommended!
Even though I own the books in e-format and in separate paperbacks - this one volume is my favorite.
