Great looking watch. It really looks expensive. The small dials are a little hard to read unless you are in bright light.

This is a big watch, with an eye-catching blue and rose/copper facethat attracts attention without being overly gaudy. If you're looking for something large with some "pop," this is it. I wore this to a set of meetings last week and three separate people stopped me to say they liked it, so that's something. The photo doesn't do the blue justice - it's a reflective evening sky blue with some shine, and is really vivid and noticable, especially with the rose copper hands and numbers.

It also has three mini-dials. One shows the day of the week (i.e, Mon-Sun), one shows the day of the month (1-31), and one shows the military time (0-24). You set the time, day of the week, and miltary time by pulling the knob all the way out and spinning until all three are where you want them, and set the day of the month by pulling the knob halfway out, then rotating it backward until it's where you want. The three mini-dials are good decoration, but frankly probably not that practical. (Particularly military time - unless you're in the far artic or a sub or something, do you really not know if it's AM or PM?)

My only gripe is that the watch isn't lighted or luminous, so it's no good in the dark. On the other hand, it's water resistant to 165 feet, which should be plenty. (Or at the very least, if I find myself any deeper than that, I suspect the watch is the least of my problems.)

If you don't like a heavy watch or if the vivid, eye catching blue is not for you, I'd give this one a pass, but if you're looking for a bulky watch with some pop, I'd recommed this one highly - it's currently my primary watch, and I like it a lot.

My very first observation is that the face is much deeper/richer than pictured. It's a beautiful sapphire 2-tone blue, and the rose gold numbers and dial just pop! Very nice.

It's also stainless steel & water resistant to 165 feet, two features that really sold me on this watch. I think it's a good value for around $50, a nice gift idea.

It also has 3 other features - month, date, & day of the week. They're small, but it's convenient. The band is also stainless, and solid/durable. I also really like the font on the numbers, very sharp.

It's large, but I wouldn't call it bulky or heavy like other reviewers have said. In fact, large "bling" has been the trend for over a decade now, and this watch is smaller than most modern watches you'd find in the department store.

Japanese Quartz doesn't mean anything at all. This watch "ticks" just like every other watch under $100. No sweeping movement or anything special.

I give it 4 stars (not 5) because of the standard quartz movement, and well, because it's an Armitron, which is known for entry level watches. I really like the design, and would wear it much more often, but I'm always nervous someone is going to want to look closely and realize it's just an entry level watch.

But this watch is *ideal* if you have an active lifestyle, and find yourself working out, working outdoors, swimming, going to the beach, etc. It's stainless steel, easy to clean (just dip the whole thing in a jewelry cleaning solution), and durable.

To be fair, for $50 you probably can't find a nicer watch (in terms of durability or looks). HOWEVER...if you have a little bit more money to spend, you can get some really nice Swiss, Swiss-quality, &/or sweeping motion watches for around $150-$200. Here's how:

The Japanese are making some nice sweeping motion watches, not Swiss but just as good. (The best example is the "Seiko Diver", under $200 and is nearly identical in every way to the Rolex Submariner, which is priced at $6,000!). Also, Omega makes some very nice watches for the same price range. Three other brands to investigate are Esquire, Movado, & Tissot - you can find some really good deals on Amazon or elsewhere online.

I think at $50, the Armatron looks like a $100 watch. However, if you have a slightly larger budget, you can spend $150-$200 you can get a Swiss-motion watch that looks like a $2,000 watch. I hope this helps - good luck!

The Armitron Men's 20/4924BLSV Stainless Steel Bracelet Watch features a dark blue face with attractive pink/gold arms that seem to glow whenever light shines on them. The effect is quite striking when combined with its very sturdy stainless steel watch band. The watch and band are heavy so if that is likely to make you feel uncomfortable then this watch may not be for you. The bracelet is also rather large and if your wrists are small and thin then the Armitron is likely to be a problematic fit. I am fortunate in having large hands so I find this watch a nearly perfect fit, but these size and weight issues will be critical for those with smaller hands and wrists. The Armitron is easy to read even in low light (due to its size) and keeps solid time. It has an elegant appearance on the wrist, looking far more expensive than its relatively modest price. This watch is worthy of serious consideration for those with larger hands/wrists who are comfortable with its heft. Those who don't fall into that category may find the Armitron too much of a good thing.

This is an attractive and well-made men's watch. I could have done without the sub-dials because setting them up is somewhat tedious and I don't really use them. Selling points include robust stainless steel construction, Japan movement, water resistance to a depth of 165 feet and Armitron's Limited Lifetime Warranty. The gold-tone hands against the electric-blue dial look sharp, and the overall impression is of a product that is built to last. The only real problems that I can see are as follows: this watch is pretty heavy as watches go, and the instruction manual is so tiny that you may need to use a magnifying glass to read it. My brother collects watches, so I've seen and examined a great many, and am surprised that such a nice watch sells for such a reasonable price. Even the included box is well-made and sturdy. If you are in the market for a watch, even if this one doesn't suit you, check out Armitron's product line. Chances are excellent that you'll find one that's just right for you.

This watch has a nice look. It's well-designed with a striking blue color that goes well with the metal coloring of the case and hands, and clear and simple numbers and hands. The three smaller dials are small and hard to read, but add to the look of the watch as much as (and probably more than) provide any usable function. The case the watch comes in is just as impressive as the watch itself, which made it a delight to open and reveal the watch.

The main problem for me is the bulk and weight of the watch. It feels fine on my wrist, but I expected (and would have preferred) something smaller both in size (it makes my arm look like a twig) and weight. Most people don't need a watch these days, so wear one more for fashion than function. In that sense, the nice solid look and feel of this watch works. But I'd still prefer something lighter and more spare to go on my wrist.

It's a very nice and stylish basic watch. This is the type of watch that Mike Wallace loved to wear; it looks fine but it works perfectly. if you are the type to only wear Rolex you wouldn't be looking at this watch anyway, right? If you want a basic, stylish watch that will go with most any outfit this is the watch for you. Nothing wrong with this watch at all! Plus, it is water-resistant so it would be a good vacation watch if you are a Rolex owner and don't want your lost or damaged on a summer trip.

This is a big, chunky piece of equipment! (In fact, it may be a little TOO big..the band is gigantic. I suppose that a link can be removed to make it smaller, but the instructions that come with the watch are kind of generic and useless for this particular watch.) The face is a very attractive shade of blue, and the numbers are big and easy to read. There are three mini-faces within the big face that display the day, date, and military time. I've seen other reviewers complaining about HOW small they are, but honestly....how else would they fit? I'm very impressed by this watch, and I'm really enjoying wearing it.

Pros: It's a very attractive watch to look at. The bright blue looks very neat. The price is right for the quality of it. It looks much more expensive than it actually is. The steel is heavy and shiny and it's thick and manly. Honestly it looks pretty cool on my husbands wrist.

Cons: However, it does not have the date on it like other watches do. Instead it has this weird display like inner clocks which mark to the date. The letters on the are so tiny it's hard to read. Also, the glass is very oval-ed and bulges out, so it's easy to scratch it.
