With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market.
Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

She absolutely loves it! It's a bit big, so she's having two links taken out, but otherwise, she's thrilled.
No complaints, either, that it's too heavy, and my aunt isn't exactly an Amazon. You could safely buy this for a woman who likes pretty stuff, and it'd be well received.
It has a very attractive presentation on her wrist.
The only complaint against the watch was that it was too large. I understand it must fit more than my wife's thin wrist. The difficulty was that the jeweler we took it to (took 2 trips) had a terrible time getting the links apart... not sure why, something about having to drill the pin out because the fit was so tight, as manufactured, that you couldn't drive the pin out with their jewelers hand tools without damaging the band... so they drill it and it takes more than average tools and time.

It also had to be sized down by three links, which is pretty substantial.
