I needed something that was not enamel based and thought this would work and paid the higher price for it. Unfortunately this is not even as described. And of course you can't paint a chrome finish, but there is a fine high metallic base spray paint out there to replicate it, but this is not it. This is nothing but a grey metallic paint that is mislabeled. Completely misleading and a ripoff. And they don't let you return paint, but I will ask for a refund for misrepresentation.

Product description is misleading. The word chrome should be removed and it should be called dull silver at best! I wasn’t expecting an exact match to the cap or real chrome plating but the finished wasn’t even a shiny silver. Do not buy!

This is not a chrome paint. It is silver paint with fine metallic flake. The paint doesn't match the lid. Seriously false advertising; every other can of spray paint you buy will match the lid. Do not be fooled by this. It is silver paint not chrome or mirrored.

There is nothing chrome or shiny about this paint. Dull aluminum finish.

I put several very light coats of this on top of several lights coats of the same brand primer. The result is more of a brushed silver look than mirror chrome. Perhaps it would look better atop a gloss black base.

Description says it can be used on metal. Sprayed over Krylon high heat automotive primer. After 3 days of drying, paint still rubs offon my hand when sliding across surface. Says in add resistant to 250 deg. My wife says I have hot hands but that is ridiculous. I purchased due to the temp rating but my hands are about 98.6 deg so their definition of resistant is highly questionable. Would not buy again.

Looking for a good spray can to simulate chrome.... its a world of disappointments out there. But then I encounter a product such as this: S.M.Arnold Chrome spraypaint with its stark, plain label design (an almost 'home-made' feeling to it...) and a relatively unknown company (to me and people I know; I'm sure its been around for some time and there are probably many people out there who are loyal to this company...) and sure enough THAT is the stuff to get. They must specialize in some aspect of Chrome or metal works, because they've got it down. Definitely beats the ×$#@! out of the rustoleum (home depot...) product. Good stuff. Can be used on polystyrene too without warping, for any modelers looking for a really shiny metallic finish for certain airplanes, etc. Perfect for the B-29 superfortress...

It was very easy to use like any other spray. After drying for 24 hours the paint started to flake off. Definitely the paint did not last at all.
