I found the amount of characters/story trails gave the author a way to fit many situations where she could bring Godly perspectives on so many things people have to face in the real world. They were woven together very well. I was amazed how many and how well they all fit together into the story...this is my first book to read by this author. The sharing of Godly wisdom and spiritual perspective like this is my favorite kind of book to read.
I loved how the couples valued and cared for each other. That is a lifestyle choice. The author definitely portrayed and inspires cherishing the people (the family as well as friends) around you while you have them.
This book could be read from a young person to any age, it has something in it for all ages.
This book will be read many times by me. Thank you for writing such a book as this?
As an adoptive mom myself, the actions of these parents did not ring true. I was a foster mom first and knew the bio mom somewhat. I had compassion for her troubles, but at the same time I was raising and loving her babies. Sometimes biology doesn't mean much. I will never allow her toxicity into my son's lives.
But I also felt the whole story line was "too perfect." Not in the sense that things were all perfect, but the whole Bible thing was a bit heavy and unrealistic. Everything resolved. Everyone knew God and forgave everyone... husbands all prayed with their wives and visa versa etc. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE a good Christian novel... I just didn't like this one. I would not read the rest in the series.
