Product Description

Product Description

The T75 is the ideal solution for installing non-metallic sheathed cable in new residential buildings. It can dramatically reduce both installation time and wire damage. The double leverage operation and contoured rubber hand grip make operation easy. Great for installing wire up to ½". The T75, with its all chromed steel housing, hardened steel working parts, powerful coil spring, and rear-load magazine is proudly made in America.

From the Manufacturer

Arrow's T75 Wire and Cable Staple Tacker has an all steel construction with chrome finish. It is designed for a wide range of wire and cable fastening applications, including Romex, non-metallic sheathed cable, U.F.. cable, wire conduit, plastic cable, copper tubing or any round object up to 1/2-inch in diameter. Ideally suited for fastening inside wiring cable up to 26-pair and Romex cable up to 12-3, this tacker can also be used as a faster, less expensive drive ring in residential wiring. The strong staples give a substantial safety margin in holding cable, while the driving blade halts the staple at a safe height to prevent cutting into the wire or cable covering. This tacker takes 9/16-inch, 5/8-inch, and 7/8-inch staples.

T75 staples are UL-listed for fastening NM-B (Romex) cables. The simple design involves few jams. There are a lot of misfires and it takes a bit to get the hang of tilting the stapler lead edge forward and pressing hard just as the kick hits.

But this is WAY better than buying two-part plastic-metal staples or hammering in 'hard' staples across EVERY joist (as required in NEC). This stapler reaches places hammer-and-hard-staple cannot, although sometimes you just have to resort to screwing in a UF strap, if the clearance is too small for either.

Up there with the Klein 14/2 // 12/2 NM-B jacket stripping wire strippers, I rank this among the indispensable hand-tools of the residential electrician.

FOur stars because it does jam OCCASIONALLY…just a couple of times, but enough not to give it five stars. That said, I'm glad I have it for roughing in the project house that I am wiring. Give up the hammer and fasteners and save some time with this stapler. It works well and does not pierce the NM cable. or skin it or nick it, nor does it staple the cable too tightly. Just right said Little Red Riding Hood!

Haven't had any jams after ~800 staples (using the Arrow 7514S), but there are some things to note.
It does not always drive the staple deep enough to hold taught, so you'll be following up at least half of them with a quick hammer tap. It seems less likely to happen if you spend extra time really putting some force behind the head and making sure it's perfectly straight, but it still happens and it's not worth going through that. Still a hell of a lot easier than trying to hold a staple and get it started with a hammer, I'll staple everywhere I need to within reach and then grab the hammer and touch up any that need it.

I have used this type of stapler for years. There is no comparison. The price of the gun itself is cheaper or equal to most, and the price per 1,000 staples is by far cheaper than any others that I have found.

Works great from 12/3 to 14/2 romex, and mc cable too. Tool does one thing well and one thing only : hanging electrical wire. I wonder if some of the poor reviewers complaining that the staple doesn't go in far enough may be using it on cat5 or something. The staple is supposed to sit high and not go too deep because it straddles the wire, duh. If it set deeper you would be crushing the wires every once in a while and causing occasional shorts. If the staple sits a little too high every once in a while (wood is not a uniform material, every stick has unique hardness), and you have to tap it in with a hammer, that's way better than shorting your wire and having to pull out the whole branch, so I think the tool is designed appropriately.

My only complaint is that i finally bought one of these when i'm working through the last 10% of rewiring my entire house. So it goes.

I bought this because I hate trying to hammer in romex staples with a hammer. This works okay but the staples are not as heavy duty as your hammer in type staples. Sometimes the unit will act like it is out of staples as it won't shoot anymore and when you open it up there are still staples in there. Close it again and it starts shooting the staples again.

Not very powerful like the other reviewers said. You will need to have a hammer to finish driving them. Kinda disappointed! Maybe 7/8" staples are too much for it and I should've used 1/2"...

Though it jammed sometimes, considering the convenience it brought me, I still like it. To be exact, if you are using hammer and staples to bind power cords onto the ceiling of an unfinished basement, your face can be covered with dusts and debris. With this product, you can avoid that.
