What I got was pleasantly surprising for $249! First off, it didn't come on a pallet like a lot of other furniture I purchased, it came in a relatively thin(but long) 130lb box, which was great because it can be put away for a couple days or weeks if you have an incredibly busy schedule like I do. Started at 9:30AM, had to attend lecture and take a couple breaks which delayed me about 4 or so hours, but by 8:30PM it was done. I (28yo male) was able to do steps 1 through 15 by myself with little to no problem. I did have some company (43yo male) volunteer to help out with the last 3 steps and found that having some standard metal chairs eliminated the need to have a ladder. Most of the screws actually lined up just fine, only had to drill 4 times.
They include plenty of extras, and though the instructions can be a bit vague at times, just using the slightest bit of common sense will get you where to be. Make sure you have a flat surface, and I'd recommend sorting everything out beforehand. If you move in a careful and calculated manner, your Arrow shed will turn out at least as well as mine did.
I'm giving this a 4 star, but I'd really like to have given it a 4.5. I'll likely be updating this review in a couple months to reveal how it holds up to the extremely harsh weather we get in the Midwest. If it's still standing next April I'll have no problem saying this is a 5 star shed.
First, it came sooner than expected so a plus!
My husband built the base and he and I started. We followed the directions exactly and it went together easily. All the holes lined up well which is good because there are a LOT of screws and bolts.
We did it over two days because of rain interruptions but I would say if you went non stop it would be about 6 or 7 hours.
FYI - Don't leave the pieces out in the rain because the numbers come off and you go by the numbers😫 Thankfully we just had the roof to do so we figured it out.
I'm 67 and my husband is 70 and we did just fine!
It looks great and is sturdy!
You WILL need 3 days to finish it.
You WILL need another person for part of it.
You will need a small ladder, cordless philips screwdriver, 11/32" wrench, and an 11/32" magnetic driver.
I am fairly handy and experienced. It wasn't very complicated, just very time consuming.
I built a base on the leveled dirt in my yard out of concrete blocks and made a floor out of 1/2" untreated plywood on top of treated 2x6 nailed together and laid flat. (The instructions say that the warranty is void if any part of the shed is in contact with treated lumber, it will cause corrosion.) This feels plenty sturdy.
I had trouble with holes not lining up on some of the sections, and I had everything as square and level as I could get. An awl helps. Some self tapping screws helped in a couple places where I couldn't make it work.
There are something like 900 fasteners, they are small and fiddly. Get magnetic bits or be very frustrated.
Read the instructions several times before going to the next step. Pay attention to what screws you need to leave out of the step, as this will save you having to take stuff apart later.
Instructions are detailed and clear.
Shed is shipped in one giant box, needs 2 people to carry, or one strong one to drag.
I had mine delivered to my driveway and dragged it into my yard.
I finished the shed in 3 days including the base, and it showed about 8" the next day, so far it seems to be fine with the snow.
Very glad I finally got it!
