What can I say? This is red lentils. They're a good source of protein and they take on the flavor of any seasoning in your dish. These lentils are high quality, you don't have to pick them over very much and they're super clean--though I still rinse them off, anyways. The reason I order them from Amazon is because I live on an Indian Reservation in a largely rural state where there is no demand for such a product. So I am pleased that I'm able to order it online and it gets here by the end of the next week.

I could not find the red ones near me so I substituted the brown ones and the taste isn’t the same; however, since these are organic and made by Bob’s, they are much more expensive (and I had to use almost the whole bag!). That being said, the soup tastes much better so it’s worth it!!!!!

Oh do I love the red lentils over all the other lentils. It reminds me of an island dish in taste. This brand has a great taste and absorbs the herbs. When cooking the red lentils I use four cups of water and four cups of low-sodium chicken broth to cook them in, along with special spices, bring to a boil, turn down the heat, simmer about forty-five minutes. Mmmmm,good! Good fiber for your digestive health. Serves about four people. I can eat it for breakfast, lunch & dinner. I am sold on this one. I cannot find it in the regular stores yet, so I purchase it from Amazon for a good price. Yes it has a great taste!
