It's a fun, informative book to have at home or in the salon.
I was very disappointed in this book. The information is outdated and the pages even looked like they were discolored from the age of the book. As a professional stylist/colorist I didn't learn anything new from this book (covered basics learned in beauty school) and the styles were straight out of 1990's B-movie.
Unfortunately, I was unable to return since it was delivered late and I was out of town for several weeks. This book is definitely not worth the money or time to read. I wish it had been more clear how dated this publication was and how basic the information was in it.
the good thing about this book is that it is step by step so you can see how to do each thing however i think the end result pictures might have been better if the hair styles, and picture angles where made in a way that i could see the results more clearly.
also i was hoping to get more information about toning hair and color correcting it had very little.
it's an okay book, i like it fine just not what i had in mind for info i was looking for.

I had hoped for a more instructional book. This is essentially a how-to for specific, limited styles that may or may not ever come back into style.Published 15 months ago by Alison Meyer
