I had no idea this book was as small as it is. The product description "packed with priceless works of art" isn't exactly accurate. The book has a total of 32 pages, and is a good introduction for 2-4th graders. We will have to use this book as a jumping off point to explore the art forms the kids are interested instead of using the book as our curriculum. In the section on Gothic Cathedrals I was quite disappointed that the Köln Cathedral and other wonderful examples weren't even mentioned. There is only one art project, making a fresco, not multiple projects. Overall, a disappointment, but giving 3 stars for the excellent full-color photographs and captions.

It's a very small book, don't pay too much for it. Good info though for a beginger art appreciation course for elementary kids
