This game is engaging, interesting and intriguing. A bit challenging but not to the point of frustration. I didn't really need many hints. There's a map that will take you where you want to go. No glitches so far on Kindle Fire. The mini-games and character interactions are fun. Relaxing and fun. I love HOGs so I would've enjoyed even more of those. Plus it was on sale, but since there is no bonus it was fair. I'm going to be on the lookout for more of these.
I was a bit disappointed in this game. I found it to be overly simplistic. A very good game for the pre-teen set, but not so much for an old timer like me. Graphics are fine and game moved smoothly with no glitches. Just not challenging enough for my tastes.
As always, the artwork NEVER ceases to amaze me! Being a graphic artist myself, I'd absolutely kill to work for Artifex!!!!
The storyline was good and engaging enough to keep me interested. Mini puzzles were not as challenging as usual, but still lots of fun.
I liked the twist that my decisions dictated the outcome of unfolding events, but will have to play again to see what happens if I take a more heartless route. Playing nice guy didn't seem to have any dire outcome for any of my decisions. 2nd time around, I'm hoping for new challenges to unfold. I did miss the usual bonus chapter that many of their games have, but all in all a great game that I would recommend.
This is the sequel to Eventide: Slavic Fable (which was released in February 2016), and it is a creative and captivating game. I really enjoyed the first one, and this game is on par, but moves at a slower pace. You play as the same character, Mary the botanist, but this time your niece has been kidnapped by an evil sorcerer/wizard! The story is well told and there are many characters you meet along the way. I love being transported somewhere else when I play, and this game does that.
The graphics are superb; each scene is sharp and meticulously detailed. The voice-overs, music, and animations are all very well produced. I like how the game is not stagnant and doesn't feel bogged down. There are hidden object searches (find by fragment & traditional), and mini games, but not very many. There are hidden collectibles and "imp" character cards to find throughout the game. There is a diary, which includes your objectives, moral choices, and a herbarium.
I had no issues playing on kindle HDX 8.9, but this is a giant file and installed at 1.22 GB, so make sure you have the room. You can play the trial part for about an hour, then it is $3.49 (on sale now) for the full game unlock. Since this is not a collector's edition, there is no bonus chapter nor many extras, just replaying the HOs and mini games. Regardless, this is a very well made, worthwhile adventure.
