Editorial Reviews

Review

  • Wonderfully imaginative!  The old stories of man's rebellion against God to find himself are given a new twist in this novel which combines Greek mythology with the Book of Genesis set against a backdrop of modern technology.  Forces are at work to awaken the divine spark inside a seemingly ordinary girl:  goddess-incarnate-as-woman yet pawn of greater powers, Maia must tread carefully lest her search lead her to open doors that were not meant to be reopened.  Here is Eve again tempted to repeat the act which caused that terrible tragedy:  the Great Fall from Grace ... or is it the path to redemption? - Myra B.
  • I am reminded of Tolkien's Hiding of Valinor, of C.S. Lewis' "Perelandra" and of Guillermo del Toro's "Pan' Labyrinth."  The book made me aware quite forcefully that another world does exist beside our own and only with eyes unveiled can we hope to get a glimpse of it.  But as there are those who would once more rip down the veil itself to reveal what lies hidden, the heart is suddenly gripped with foreboding lest the time be not yet ripe for such a revelation.  Are we ready to reclaim what we once rejected?  The story of the Seven Sisters is our story, too.  I can't wait for the second book!"
  • I thoroughly enjoyed reading P. Milisande's first book. I am simply awed by her masterful storytelling and poetry-writing ability and couldn't put the book down after reading the first page. Milisande has woven an intricate and spell-binding tale of fiction combining elements of Greek mythology and the story of Maia and her journey into adulthood and her discovery of her true purpose. Go buy this book. Now. - GeorgeV, Author
  • I love the title and the name of P. MILISANDE! Enthralling! They both sound mysterious! It was really a new genre..a new dimension. The abysmal place and uncanny characters I read just from Chapter 1 to 3...would keep the readers holding on to its suspense and thrill...wanting to get a grasp of the whole story all at once! So, hurry grab a copy now!! It was prepossessing and spellbinding! There were ethereal afterglow vividly described in the sequences - the present time - the flashbacks - a hint of an out-of-this-world love and romance - maybe since time immemorial...were all impalpable. - MichelleG

From the Author

According to the author, the idea for the book came to herwhen she found intriguing and highly controversial underwater images on GoogleEarth. "I asked myself--what do you do if you find something that shatters allyou know about what is real? Then the answer came to me--write a story, ofcourse."

Utilizing the unending expanse of one's imagination, P.Milisande taps into the reader's creative soul. Through featuring in her"disruptive" book the actual Google Earth images she found, she brings thereader into a journey from one reality to another--showing realms of darknessand of light--in order for them to find the courage to "unveil Atlantis".
