I only came across this book this morning but having read it, I can agree with 99% of his analysis and recommend it to anyone one with an interest in our country's situation. Yes, it is 6 years old but I think that it is even more timely now than then.

Support Egberto Willies! This is a self published work. With enough sales, he should find a publisher to expose him to a wider audience. His writing will take care of the rest.

Well written commentary on a troubled country, including intuitive solutions, with a magnificent conclusion, painful as it is. Time to wake up from the American nightmare.

Clear, concise, easy to understand and to navigate. A must read for anyone who seeks to understand the dynamics behind our current economic catastrophy. Willies does an excellent job of explaining the basic concepts and drawing them together in a way that is easy to understand as well as an interesting read. Well done!!!

A must read for political progressives who endure the rhetoric of aggressive conservatives that over dose on FOX News. Mr. Willies has superbly researched the major issues facing our country today and brings well documented facts to counter the myths created by right wing media. A great read which you may want to send to your Tea Party friends.

The book is easy to read, bringing many complex political issues into focus at a time when what is heard is presented by generally disingenuous talking heads. The issues brought to life are prepared in a simple honest appraisal that Mr Willies has provided in his own personal style.

Regadless of your political background Mr Willies' book is a timely primer for our current affairs. Regardless, if I had agreed or disagreed with Mr Willies views, I found the book provides the basis for some of the questions a thinking American must consider in order to arrive at decisions that affect us now and our children's future.

This book was a great read! It is easy to navigate, highly informative and very well referenced. The charts and tables add a nice visual. The author adds a personal touch by beginning the book with his own personal story of how he got to where he is today. It is a "must-read" for all who are unhappy with our state of affairs, which should be the 95% of us in this country who have very little say in many of the current policies designed to keep the "haves" fruitful, and the "have-nots" downtrodden. When you've finished this book, you will be left with an entirely new perspective on our country and our policies. Above all, though, you will be left feeling empowered as the author puts forth very tenable solutions.

As I See It is logically written with no ambiguities and unnecessary exclusions of significant information pertinent to the complete understanding of the written work. Normally omitted from mainstream media and access, Mr. Willies dives into what makes this country tick economically and politically. He removes the blanket the right wing has been using to "protect" us from the cold that is complete understanding of what is going on with our money and political power. Everything from banking and the military to health care and corporations is mentioned and dissected. This is a must read for those who not only want to or need to know the anatomy of our nation, but the physiology as well. After all, how else will you know what exactly your role or place is in this society. Readers will be surprised to know where they stand.

Excellent piece.

I feel I must begin by stating that I am a Progressive Democrat who agrees with most of what is argued in this book. I firmly believe that the rich and super rich have used the Republican party to engage in class warfare against the middle class for at least thirty years. So, my problem with this book is not it's content but it's scholarship. Though the author touches on virtually every political and economic issue, and perhaps because he includes such a vast variety issues, he treats them all superficially. Though talking openly about class warfare is a relatively new phenomenon in post WW II America, the author does not argue the case in an intellectually convincing mannner, and consequently does not substantially promote the cause. On the positive side, if you are fairly new to politics and have left leaning dispositions, I am sure you will find this book informative, and perhaps even inspiring.

The author is clearly not writing in his native tongue. The book needs further and better editing. So far class warfare has been one-sided and unseen by many, due to coordinated and effective propaganda. This must end if we wish to have a sustainable economy that offers a decent life for all.
