A month later I looked like The Rock, only stronger. I had to replace all of my doors because I would just pull the handles straight through the doors. I ended up removing doors from my house completely and using a bank vault door for my front door. Also, I can no longer drive my car because my foot went through the floor when I stepped on the gas. Fortunately, I run about 45mph from having insane quad strength so I no longer needed it. I simply crushed it down and carried it into my house. It makes a great coffee table, great conversation starter.
Pro - Tastes great, works
Con - Could end up being too strong
Taste = 5/5 Legit vanilla shake
Mixing = 5/5 No clumping
Ingredients = 5/5 No CRAP. Only the goods.
Shout out to Tim Ferris bringing this to my attention!
I am now a loyal customer.
You wont regret this buy.
For the important parts, this is a very lean protein profile made from natural processes and ingredients. I am in the gym with very heavy activity6 - 7 days per week with varying lifts of 1000 rep programs, supersets, and full concentration workouts and find recovery better with Ascent than any other protein Ive used and rebuilding muscle for the following gym day has yet to meet me with down time.
Additionally I travel 45 weeks or more per year and the ability to easily roll/fold up the bag and keep and air tight seal without having to pack white powder in un-marked baggies or carry a big tub that takes up far too much space in my luggage is a huge packaging plus. Their single serving pouches makes for friendly race day carry along
I highly recommend the use of Ascent.
I drink this type of stuff for sustenance, so I'm not too picky on the taste, but it actually has a decent taste. With 8 ounces of water, it's too thin to taste like much. 6 ounces of water and you can taste the chocolate a little more, it's good enough, but certainly not great. With 4 ounces of water, it just tastes like a hot chocolate drink that has cooled. This is the first protein powder I've tried where it actually tastes good with just 4 ounces of water. The less liquid I have to drink to get the protein I'm looking for, the happier I am. Others have more sugar or sugar substitute added so that it tastes better based on the 8 ounce standard. This has less sugar and so it can't support that much liquid and still taste good. I don't see it as a problem though because now it's just like a quick shot of chocolate protein and I'm good. Not some drink that I'm trying to choke down.
My only complaint is the packaging. I can't stand these bags that some protein manufacturers use. Maybe it's more environmentally friendly, I don't know. I ended up pouring it into a large tupperware type container that's used for storing flour. Protein needs to be shaken up every now and then and it's risky to do so with these types of bags because they are very hard to seal. So put it in a solid contain so you can shake it up without flinging protein dust everywhere.
Good stuff though. After 10 years of consuming maybe 30 different brands of protein, I think I've found a good one here.
Tim was promoting a company he invested, Ascend Protein - 25 grams of protein... hey what’s good for TF, good enough for me. Add to cart.
First week with normal diet and excercise - I added this to my morning shake of cold steeped oatmeal, milk, peanut butter, frozen banana, and few frozen blueberries - deliciousness - I lost 5lbs. The month and a half prior 15, total goal was 40. Within the next month and a half I lost the remaining 20lbs, maintaining the diet and exercise.
I continue to work out, maintaining the diet, have my shake 6 out of 7 if not 7/7 mornings. Toning is the next goal along with a 50 mile bike ride to the beach 😎
This protein is great tasting and will get you the gains you are looking for at a very reasonable price.
Cleaning living and the Path will get you where you want to go.

Such a fan of the whey that I've just ordered a bag of the casein as well. Thanks Ascent!
