Ashja a thousands year old Djinn arrives at the halfway house cocky and full of himself, with limited powers due to his punishment for loosing his talisman.
And oh Man the Halfway House and its family members are not at all what he was expecting...
Abigail whom we met in the previous book Nevaeh, really finds herself and what it truly means to have a loving family, ( Dragons, Witches, Angels and Bears included) a family that is more about choice and love than it is about Blood. And they're very protective to her.. No spoilers
The author has an amazing ability, not just to write a fantastic story, but to fill each page with love and emotions that you feel deep in your heart, one of love and acceptance no matter your past, present or future!
From start to finish.. A captivating story that I couldn't put down, nor did I want too! I laughed, I cried, I cheered! I wanted to pack my suitcase and move in with the halfway house family.. CANT WAIT FOR MORE!!
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this book to any and all Paranormal Romance fans, young, old and anyone in between.. A wonderful series for All ages!
If you haven't read the Halfway House series then start at the beginning with Bk 1 Arkadia.
She weaves the same magic of young love, angst and family values in to the story however you know in the end some how you will have a HEA, Dzintra just takes you on a journey to get there.
I'm Ashja! I've been roaming the earth for thousands of years.
I am a mighty and powerful Djinn—well, I was until I lost my talisman.
"He who holds the talisman controls the Djinn."
Without it, well, let's just say I’m a Djinn on the edge.
Unfortunately for me, the paranormal council in all their wisdom has grounded me. They have ordered me to stay at this godforsaken Halfway House, with only the bare essentials of my powers available until I can locate my talisman. How am I supposed to know where it is? It was dark and I was drunk.
So here I am, stuck between a centaur and a dragon.
If I don't find my talisman quickly, the town and all its occupants might not survive.
On the upside?
There’s one rocking sexy redhead up at the house.
I sure would like her to rub my lamp.
If only I could get to her.
This is book 4 in the Halfway House series, and it was better than the last!
A new member arrives at the Halfway House, and in true loaner fashion he (Ashja) looks down on the residents of the house. Little does he know-the 'family' life is exactly what he needs. He has been sent there as a punishment for loosing his talisman.
Abigail, (who we first met in the last novel, Nevaeh) is trying to adapt to her new found life-both with the change in times and to her new family. Suddenly she has 2 suitors-what's a young para to do?? Date them both, of course! However, things don't go as she hopes and in true halfway house form she finds herself in trouble. Will the family be able to save her?
Read the book and find out-you won't be disappointed! If you haven't started this wonderful series-Book one is Arkadia. All can be read as stand-alone novels, but are better read in order.
I love this author & can't wait to see what she cooks up next!
