Original review: These are gorgeous! I love the look! We ordered 4 stools and two of them are not level. The seats tilt. We have done everything we know to try getting them to be straight with no luck. :-(

Update after more use: These are absolute crap. We barely sat on them the first three months we had them. Now that we're working from home more often and using the stools more, their quality is atrocious. We've been working from home for ~3 weeks now, and two of our four stools have broken. The brackets holding the seat on just snapped off and now the tops don't turn at all, which means they don't move up or down in height. It's not like we're spinning around on them obnoxiously. We literally turn them to adjust the height, or get on/off the stool. Pretty pissed to have spent so much money on stools that broke essentially after two weeks of use.

Solid, look great

They are solid and look great. Big height range with adjustment. I’m giving it only 4 stars because I think they were designed by some seriously evil people. Whoever thinks these parts are “ interchangeable” is fooling themselves. You will need to use some serious muscle power to get all the screw holes to line up. I used a couple carpentry clamps to really hork on stuff to get it lined up. That and quite a few curse words got them together (don’t build at church or Christmas morning). The Alan wrenches that come with each stool are total crap. The softest steel money could buy. You will need both wrenches for each stool. And don’t plan on losing any of the screws or washers, you are given EXACTLY as many as will be needed.
In the end, after building 8 of them I could turn one out in 20 minutes. Once together they look good, feel solid, work well.

First arrival had broken leg and I only was given the option to return the whole box.
Second arrival had missing bolts. One bolt had no thread.
When adding the inner ring, it was not measured and machines correctly to go to the legs. Had to bend and hammer to get it together.
Would return again, but tired of the process of taking everything apart and doing large item return through the mail.

Definitely would never order this brand again.

I ordered 3 sets of these stools. The first two sets were a breeze to assemble, but the third set was a nightmare of bent parts requiring one person to push while another tightened. Just to be clear, this was WITHOUT all bolts tightened so I didn't have any tightened bolts causing binding. I had two major areas that were bent, which resulted in two stripped screws as they did not have enough force to straighten the bent metal and/or get proper "bite" on the threaded hole. The third set also had some randomly drilled holes, kind of like the machinery on the assembly line had gone haywire. Luckily they were in hard to see areas. For the money, these are a pretty good deal, but just be mindful you MAY have some assembly and/or aesthetic issues due to poor quality control.

Don’t waste your time or money!

I decided to wait before leaving a review and after owning these for a year, I can say that they are garbage. Putting them together was extremely difficult because holes didn’t line up and I can tell you that if you aren’t able to screw in every screw this stool will fall apart. The plate that you screw into the frame was bent and crooked. It won’t be able to support the weight overtime and I’m talking about 90 lbs or less children cause the seat to tip and move. I can put together anything so this was not due to user error. I purchased 4 of these and within 5 months, two weren’t usable unless you’re okay with the seat tipping backwards. The wooden seat has screws that are way too short to support weight overtime. I love the look of the chair but the manufacturer dropped the ball in many ways.

Seats are adjustable which is a plus but after a couple of months, one stop adjusting and is stuck. Overall, I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re only going to use occasionally. In my house, the kids use these stools daily. They are wobbly and the feet aren’t level also.

Somewhat Difficult Assembly for One Person

I really love the look of these chairs. They were a great buy for the price and what I was looking for when browsing stores for stools. Assembly was a bit difficult though since it was just me assembling the furniture. To get the pieces started, you need to be able to hold them at odd angles and then start the screw which was frustrating at times. This is one of those pieces where you DO NOT TIGHTEN ANYTHING until it is fully assembled or none of the parts will fit for the following step. Tighten the screws juuuust enough to hold and then move on to the next piece.

I purchased four. A box contained two. I assembled the first pair about a month ago..legs weren't even but I was able to adjust the legs as the bolts at each leg end was adjustable by about an inch (out or in). The second pair the leg discrepancy was too much that even the adjustments don't help! I need to send those back!

I bought the stools because Ashley Furniture had a backlog due to COVID. So, when I saw the stools online via Amazon and with immediate delivery, I phoned the local Ashley store to cancel the stools from the dinette set purchase. I had bought a king bedroom set, dinette set, sectional with end table/cabinets, and console cabinet. The dresser had to be set back as the drawers didn't close properly. Come to find out, the dresser wasn't made straight. The footboard is having same issue.

One leg was missing the screw on adjustable foot as well as the inner cuff that the foot screws into. Left image shows missing foot and the missing female screw insert. Right image shows what it should look like. Amazon sends me to Ashley Furnature, and Ashley sent me back to Amazon (smh). Keeping the bar stools, we like them and its not worth repacking them and returning the heavy package. I'll figure a way to attach a new foot.

I bought this product because Ashley is a good name. My living room set and 4 original stools are Ashley. The hook that the bottom ring sits on was backwards 1 out of 4 so it’s awkward. It’s not worth sending back but I’m disappointed.... also there was a slight scratch on one of the seats.
