The thing that made me finish the checkout on this product was that it was 2/3 the price of the TT Riing fans. It came nicely packaged in a bubblewrapped yellow envelope and the product box itself was a very simplistic cardboard box. It had no fancy graphics or plastics like a lot of these gaming boxes do, which I consider to be environmentally damaging. So if you care about that, that's a plus for you.
The fan itself is of good quality, at least as much as the Riings are. It has rubber corners to reduce vibration in your case and comes with a set of black fan screws. No radiator or other screws are provided.
Performance wise these are exceptional. They allow as much airflow as the Riings, while being audibly quieter out of the box. With the Riings you have to use the adapter to lower the fan RPM to 1000, which I think is still louder than these.
The only thing that I notice that other people might not like is that the fan fins are a bit on the thin side. This could be for a variety of reasons, but ultimately, if you take care of your stuff you wouldn't even consider this otherworldly issue.
Other than that, these are solid and quiet fans for anyone looking for something new and unique. I will be on the lookout for more AsiaHorse products as well. If I left anything out please refer to the pictures I've provided that might answer your question. Also, please don't forget to click the Special Offers. I missed it and I could have saved $2 because I bought two fans, it would have been more of a steal at $8 each :(
NOTE: Only the 2-pack comes with a black braided 4-pin splitter cable, basically so you can daisy chain two fans and connect them to one header.
I was previously running the TriCool's on medium (1,600 RPM). For the time being, I am running these at around 1,100-1,200 RPMs which is comparable to the TriCools on low. Despite the -400 RPM drop, the noise has substantially decreased to a tolerable hum that is pushing air. Case temps have remained consistent. In the future, I will likely play around with fan speeds some more and further test as it correlates with system temps.
See attached pictures. As others have mentioned, the coloring in the photos is not the best representation of how they actually illuminate (I tried). It's certainly more reddish and flows well with the built-in red LEDs of my Gigabyte motherboard.
Overall, I recommend them and would not hesitate to purchase more when the time is right.
If I'm not mistaken, this fan appears to run at 1600 RPM by default. I had to use speed fan to turn it down to 1200RPM so it wasn't quite so loud.
The LED lights are very bright and they actually make the blades light up like you see in the pictures. The fan felt of good quality. Didn't feel flimsy or cheap or like it would break any time soon. It does have rubber pads that go around the four corners on each side but be aware that you have to put these on yourself. Not a deal breaker at all. Just wanted to note it.
My one complaint would be that the fan cable, to connect it to the motherboard, isn't as long as I would have liked. I was able to get the fan installed no issues; however, I did have to rewire my other fans so that I had a fan connector that was close enough to connect to. It was still plenty log enough to reach the connector I installed it on but, again, just wanted to note it.
I highly recommend you check this brand out! So far the fan has worked flawlessly. Not to mention the great price point. If you're looking for some unique and really cool looking fans for extra cooling, replacement of a dead fan, or just to add that extra bit of custom design. Look no further. Definitely give this brand a shot. If you're skeptical about it because it's not an ultra well known name brand, then do like I did. Order just one of these and the rest of your fans whatever name brand you most prefer. It's worth a shot to try out a new company and you aren't losing much if you end up replacing it in a year or two.
