This is the first book that I've read by Krystal Wade, but I will definitely be going back for more!
This story isn't about some deep, riveting love that overcomes all obstacles. Its not about a cunning and clever heroine with a pension for making broody men fall for it. Its not even about triumphing over evil, or seeing the good in others. Its about learning your own mind, seeing your own worth and value, and being able to say when your just messed up. Its about overcoming your own limitations, learning to accept help, and learning when to deny help that's offered.
Rose and Phillip are amazing, but the character that truly shined for me was Underwood. He was an immensely difficult character to pull off, and I must admit I had a little crush. She truly executed him to perfection, and he helped build the other characters so so so well.
Please note, this book does contain dark elements especially involving mental diseases. If this does not bother you, then I highly highly highly recommend it!
