By Daniel L. Marler on November 7, 2008
Format: Hardcover
I read this book with joy and appreciation because I was one of the many students touched by Dr. Massey's life and ministry at Anderson College --now Anderson University. (Shortly after I left they experienced a significant upgrade, that's seems to happen a lot after I leave a place.)

His dignity and brilliance were always matched with his warmth, love, gentle humor and genuine regard for his students. I noticed that "regard" for his students even comes through in the book. Dr. Massey's scholarship, discipline, powerful intellect, masterful communication and his many talents, were a significant inspiration to many students. We looked up to him with great respect.

It was interesting to read about many of the highlights of his life of which I was unaware, including some of the controversy. Dr. Massey writes about it all with honesty and grace.

Dr. Massey, if you happen to read this review, please know that I am but one of many students whose life was positively influenced by your honorable and exemplary "Pilgrimage" of service to our Lord.
