Another fabulous, heart-warming story in the Aspen Cove Series. Aspen Cove is the perfect small town: it has wonderful people, beautiful scenery, quite a few amenities, and isn't far from a bigger city. Country living with big city convenience.
Katie needed a place away from her smothering parents and Bea provided her with the perfect opportunity. It took a lot of courage to leave Texas and move to Aspen Cove. Bowie needed someone to challenge him, to prove life is still worth living. Katie gave him a reason to share his heart again. Their road was rocky, with some twists and turns, and I rooted for them to find their HEA. They both deserved happiness.
Aspen Cove is chock full of interesting, quirky, realistic characters that I can't wait to get to know better. I am really looking forward to meeting more residents as the series unfolds.
If you are looking for a well-written story with developed characters; with heart and soul; a real page-turner; then I suggest you read One Hundred Heartbeats. This story is a standalone but you will get more enjoyment if you read One Hundred Reasons first. The first story introduces the reader to so many aspects of Aspen Cove. Knowing these things will make the second book more meaningful.
One Hundred Wishes
Another terrific story in the Aspen Cove Romance series. I absolutely loved the way Samantha and Dalton meet! Talk about getting off on the wrong foot! LOL! Things could only go up from there.
I felt sorry for Samantha. She was so young and naive when she signed those contracts and didn't realize she was giving her soul to the devil. Dalton was wronged by the justice system and should have never gone to jail. Together these two broken souls find the missing pieces to become whole again.
I had a problem with Todd not being arrested and held responsible for his crimes. His next victim might not be so lucky. I didn't particularly like Dave not being arrested when he first came on the scene but I could understand it. He didn't appear to be dangerous and he was used to Samantha doing exactly what he told her to do.
I thoroughly enjoyed One Hundred Wishes and encourage you to read the entire series.
ONE HUNDRED HEARTBEATS 4 stars ✨
Not quite a solid four-star read, but certainly much better than deserving only three. Although the plot has been used before, this is still sweet and heartwarming, making it very enjoyable. Add to that the wonderful characters of Aspen Cove, along with a great ending, and you have a story worth your time.
ONE HUNDRED WISHES - 3+ stars ✨
“Home isn’t always a place. It can be a feeling. It can be as simple as knowing someone loves you, no matter what.”
All the books so far in this series are sweet and romantic and what you would expect from a small town romance. Just about everyone in the town knows everybody, likes everybody, and they help one another. A bit unrealistic, but still enjoyable.
All the books thus far can be read as standalones and this one is no exception, but with many of the characters being a part of each book and their stories continuing, it's probably best to read them in order.
It's not the most original storyline, but if you're looking for a feel-good story with a sweet, happy ending, this one fits the bill.
