I'm running this with an Intel Core i7-7700K w/ Corsair Hydro H100i v2 Extreme Liquid Cooler, 6 x GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, 5 x Radeon RX 580, 2 x Radeon Vega Frontier, all powered by 2 x FSP 1200W 80+ Platinum PSUs, and this beast is kicking out a very impressive hash rate. While this is a costly setup, it mines numerous coins with exceptional efficiency. I would definitely recommend this sort of roll-your-own rig over any of the ASIC-type miners on the market, if only for resale value.

No issues since purchase

I got mine when these released and it's been working fine since. Initially I had issues trying to get 6 AMD RX series cards and 3 Nvidia 1060s. I assumed it was a driver issue within Windows 10 (which it was during that time, but is no longer the case). Proper config info below:

- The 1709 update/build of Windows 10, allows more than 8 cards on this board without issues. I'm currently running 10 cards (6
RX580s, 2 RX570s and 2 GTX 1060s.)
- The 1709 build has a driver which allows for a total of 12 GPUs to be run under Win 10 (still an issue if you want the full 13).
- ASRock doesn't specify this about the board, but they are set in pairs excluding the 13th slot. Meaning that the first and second PCIe slots could
simply be called: pcie 1 and pcie 1_1. If following this same scheme, the third and fourth
slots could be considered pcie 2 and 2_1. So on and so forth up to pcie slots 11 and 12 which would be synonymous with pcie 6 and pcie 6_1.
- The final 13th slot is the only lane which is not shared and can be called pcie 7.

With the info above, I would say that if you have a setup where AMD and Nvidia cards are being mixed, be sure to pair each matching type in the shared lanes. For a full 13 I suppose Linux is the only option. I hope this helps you guys, if so, thumbs up please!

Overall I think this board is a good value, but it was very difficult to get setup correctly. The PCI slots are so close together that you MUST use electrical tape or other insulator on your riser plugs or else risk a short. You cannot just plug into any PCI slot and expect it to work. I have two gtx 1070 ti's, but they did not work until I put them onto the first two slots (a black and a gray). I have two other gtx 1060's (a msi, and an evga) on the 5th and 7th slots (both black). I think you need to pair like cards up on shared channels. A shared channel is a black and gray slot together. Make sure to have the latest nvidia drivers and be patient after a windows 10 boot. It may take over 10 minutes for windows to properly detect your cards. Once all cards were recognized (visible in task manager), then I have not had any issues.

I upgraded to this board from a 6 card setup. Let me tell you: This board ROCKS!

It "talks" to me unlike every other board I've ever had the displeasure to troubleshoot. Yes this board is for the crypto currency miner that wants to chip away at virtual coin that may very well be the future we all hope it may become.

For the crypto miners, it has 13 slots for whatever gpu/video cards you want to toss in. Fastest and easiest setup when compared to most other boards. THIS IS THE BOARD YOU WANT!!

If you want to critique something about this board, which is not a problem in my opinion, are the 13 slots for gpu cards. They are very close together! I simply added some electrical tape around the riser extensions to make sure they do not bump into each other, easy and comforting fix.

Juice up this mother of boards with a fat PSU and press the power button (which is nicely included on this motherboard **BONUS**).

I would recommend this board to no end. ASRock made a winner here. I normally stay away from the ASRock brands for general custom computer work, but now I am seriously reconsidering this opinion I have had of ASRock for years.

Get it before it inevitably sells-out!!! Trust me, paying $150 to $200 on this board is a deal when you consider the gpu capacity and attention to the crypto miner they obviously placed in this product. LOVE IT!!

Can be unstable at times, but once you find workarounds it's better. Can't beat the PCIe port count at that price.

I've been playing with cryptocurrency for about 5 years and I've been a computer engineer for over 20, so I have a pretty idea what I'm doing here. Using this motherboard I've run up to 9 Radeon GPUs simultaneously on this motherboard in multiple configurations:
* Mining equihash on older (7950/7970) GPUs usually runs for a few days before one of the GPUs hangs and then Linux hangs a few minutes later. There's no consistency to which card hangs so I don't think it's the cards.
* Mining Etherhash on newer cards (RX 470/480/570/580) it runs for a week at a stretch or more without failure but when it does hang there's no indication in any logs - the system just locks up hard, requiring a power cycle to reset it.
* Mining Etherhash on the newer cards while mining Equihash on one older card I can usually run for a few days before the total lock-up.
* Mining Etherhash on the newer cards while mining Equihash on more than one older card lasts a few hours before a hard lock-up. Yes, those same older cards that run for a week+ when it's just one of them with its newer siblings.

Another mining rig with a different motherboard has no problems with these configurations so I'm pretty sure it's the motherboard. I've solved the problem by grouping GPUs into their own rigs but I shouldn't have to. Overall this is a decent motherboard for mining, especially with so many PCIe slots. Right now it's running all newer cards with a single 7950 and it's doing fine, so hopefully it'll stay that way as I can afford to keep adding 470/480/570/580s to it.
