They have done away with being able to go wherever you want, in Origins the map is divided into zones. Each zone has recommended levels. If you are level 5 and you walk into a level 20 zone, you are going to get destroyed, no matter how well you've mastered the fighting mechanics. Likewise, if you are lvl 20 and you go back to a lvl 5 zone, you are going to feel like a god. To add in some good measure in some zones they have added in Phylakes which are high level bounty hunters looking just for you. They add in a challenge when you think there is non and makes you always have to be aware of your surroundings.
The combat is also different, instead of just endlessly countering everything (which every good Ass Creed has used so far) which is a breath of fresh air. There are tons of different weapons, bows, and gear to use now. And they have different levels so you do change them fairly often. You have to charge your attack to break an enemies defense or shield. Gone are the days where if you're surrounded by enemies will only one attack at a time... They will all jump you now, and you will die.
Besides that you get a little eagle buddy, that can mark enemies for you ala Far Cry.
To be honest, the only reason that I bought this game was because I had just purchased an Xbox One X and a 4K TV, and needed a game that supports 4K. Plus, Amazon had this game on sale for $30 instead of the original price tag of $60. After just completing the game after playing it for several months, I’ve got to say, it’s worth all of $60.
I’ve played about five assassins creed games and this one originally did not strike my interest that much. I guess I kind of figured that the whole Egyptian thing wasn’t that interesting. I was wrong. After several months of playing this open world game, I was blown away at the graphics of the 4K quality single time. I’ve been playing video games Since the first games of the original Nintendo or coming out, and this is the best looking game that I’ve ever seen. The beautifully detailed scenery and amazing lighting are mind blowing. It’s almost like watching a movie, but when playing it, it’s like you’re really there in that time. That’s how good it looks.
The controls took a little getting used to. The last assassins creed game I played was Black flag and the controls were a little different in that game compared to this one. At times they were a little clunky and sticky. One of my biggest pet peeve‘s of assassins creed games has always been getting stuck on an object, and Origins is no exception.
Not only is the story and main missions interesting, they are true to history. Ubisoft always does a fantastic job on research for their assassins creed games.
The combined play of the main and side missions combined took me about 4 months to complete, playing casually. Getting towards the end of the game, I was getting a little bit burned out with playing side missions. Nearly became pointless to play them because of how close I was to the end of the main mission of the game. At that point it was really just for fun.
I docked 1 star for the aggravating clunky controls and repetitive side missions
The story itself is about Bayek, the last of Egypt's medjays, as well as his wife Aya. The meta begins Layla's story (which is continued in Odyssey).
I finished the main questline in 30-40 hours, but then purchased both DLCs and ended up playing the game for a total of 86+ hrs.
The level cap in the base game is 40, but that is increased to 45 with the Hidden Ones and then 55 with Curse of the Pharaohs.

Visualmente el juego es muy refinado y los escenarios están grandiosa mente detallados y llenos de color realmente genial recreación del antiguo Egipto, un título que no se pueden perder los fans de esta franquicia.
