I bought this for myself. I have no training at all in 3d printing. There was NO assembly required, and the software on the micro-SD card. My only issue is that there are no basic instructions on what any of the print options/settings are. And I have learned that these settings vary by machine and filament type. It would be useful if the manufacturer included some very basic definitions of what each option means.
That being said, I've wasted a lot of filament on trial and error. BUT I have been able to successfully print an articulated octopus, and it only took me 72 hours to figure it out.
The machine is very quiet and does not need to be babysat (unless you have cats like I do). It does NOT need to be plugged into your computer to work either. Just use the micro-SD card. VERY handy and portable.
