Product Description

At Kunugigaoka Junior High School, class 3-E is the lowest of the low. With abysmal test scores and no future prospects, they’ve been given up on and hidden away from the main campus at the top of a deserted mountain. But when a super-powered tentacled creature with a thirst for destruction becomes their new teacher, they’ve got a brand new assignment to get them inspired about school: take him out.

In addition to reading, writing, and arithmetic, the murderous monster behind the lectern will teach his students everything he knows about the assassination game. Should some eager beaver prove to be a Grade-A assassin, he or she will save Earth from extinction – and collect a hefty reward. But they’d better study up, because their saboteur sensei has already taken out most of the moon, and our planet is next on his list!

The Limited Edition comes in an art box with collectible cards.

I was disappointed to see the series not included with my prime membership. I ended up watching the series elsewhere and I am glad I did. I usually don't like this type of anime (action packed/kill or be killed) but the plot and story arcs were RICH and provocative. I did not expect to cry but by the 2nd season and finale I cried twice. I would highly recommend. To give perspective, I am a 40-something year old black woman from the midwest who grew up with Voltron and Sailor moon as my first tastes of anime. I prefer slice of life animes like Atashi-chin and Jellyfish Princess. Assassination Classroom was like neither of these (more like a hardcord Steven Universe) with all the feels and drama that seems to have been pulled from real issues in Japanese school culture and workplace politics.(spoken as an outsider weeb who watches a lot of Japan-based documentaries and related media)

The basic premise: Kill the teacher before he destroys the world. Ridiculous, right? And there's plenty of characters, situations, and actions that attempt this. But this anime is about caring, personal growth, and secret motivations, among other things. From the first episode, I was hooked on this series. It's ridiculous, but has some true heart. It never really goes for the jugular as far as an emotional ride, but rather skirts that line of comedy and caring. It's lighthearted. Fun characters and messages about society make this one not only a keeper, but one to watch again and again. The fact that there are some really good teachers in this is a weakness of mine! Well done!

While this is technically an action series, I find it more like a sitcom that also makes references to other animes like Saint Seiya and NARUTO!!

The characters are wonderful, too, (especially Karma, Nagisa, Isoga, Rio, Kaede, Manami, Yukiko, Irina and Karasuma) with their reactions towards Korosensei! XD

It's also becomes relatable to us, because the characters of Class E are also victims of bullying; their class is considered the lowest-of-the-low to other students and teachers at Kunugigaoka Junior High...

Very original idea for an anime. Funny show.

Before I watched this, I hadn't watched anime in a long time. But once I heard about this show, I knew it I had to watch it. And I must say, it's pretty good. Is it weird? Yes. But it's also very funny and entertaining. It also has its fair share of serious moments as well. Overall, I'd recommend this series to any anime fan who's looking for a laugh. P.S., this is the English Dub version, so if you prefer Japanese with Subtitles, heads up.

Do not let the title fool you. Yes, it can be serious at time, maybe 25% of the time, but the other 75% is full with humor, wit, run liners, and little bit of parodies.

This is English Dubbed and Episode 7 is finally fixed with the correct audio!!! :) Thank you Amazon!!! You Rock!!! :)

If you are on the edge about this show well its pretty much a silly good time which tons of brilliant comedic moments and an interesting plot thrown in the mix. This show is about as outlandish as it gets but I absolutely love it.
