It is a good account of the fall of MF Global. It provides a broad review of the different actors that were involved in the process (or should have been involved!). The different mechanics are well covered although the story could have been improved with a few diagrams to portrait the overall lay-of-the-land and the strength (legal or non-legal) of the links between the different actors. There is one unfortunate detail: the book doesn't run the story to its full end, namely what happened to the approximately US$120B of missing funds that should have been untouched as they were held in the supposedly sacrosanct future commodity trading accounts. That story is still unfolding apparently but it is almost as if you've bought a detective story and the last 10 pages are missing.....

An excellent precursor to this story is the book from David Faber on the financial crisis of 2007 (And Then the Roof Caved In: How Wall Street's Greed and Stupidity Brought Capitalism to Its Knees [Paperback]).
