This was fun to do, albeit challenging. The top and bottom can be either or in this one since there is no outline. The pencils go in one direction on one side, and on the other side they go in the opposite direction (for the most part).
I cannot express enough how nice it was to have the white background on the backside. Unfortunately, the carpet is gray/brown. My eyesight is poor, so when I'm looking for puzzle pieces with gray/brown backs, I have to get on the floor with a flashlight to find them.

I'm a sucker for anything that's bright and colorful and this did not disappoint!!! It took me longer than my usual 3 days to put together because the foil does make it a little harder to see but I love a good challenge. If you're on the fence about it, just get it!The only negative thing I could mention, though, was that a few of the pieces I received were a little damaged (imagine separating from the cardboard a little) and a few pieces had some paper around the edges that I picked off before placing. Nothing big!I did glue this puzzle and put it in a frame and it's gorgeous!

I recently threw a brunch, and a few guests lingered at the end to chat over a final cup of coffee. So, I brought this puzzle out thinking that it would be fun to absentmindedly put a few pieces together while we talked...
...Nearly 2 hours later, the 4 of us sitting around the table had made some serious progress on this puzzle and no one wanted to leave. And this is saying a lot considering that 2 of those guests generally consider themselves to NOT be fans of puzzles.
So the bottom line is this: I liked this puzzle so much that I fully intend to purchase the rest of the Galison gold foil puzzles. If you’re a puzzle fan, do yourself a favor and buy this one.
