For quite a while, however, each successive year's calendar has contained less and less of this sort of information. Other than the notation of five or six commemorative historical days each month -- many of which are religious in nature -- this year's edition contains almost no "daily" astronomical information at all. There are two total lunar eclipses and one partial solar eclipse that are observable from the continental US this year. No mention of even THESE is to be found on the calendar!
Disappointing... to say the very least.
I am very disappointed.
I ran across the Astronomy 2014 wall calender and ordered it instead. I'm very happy that I did. It is on the same glossy paper, about 15% larger, has beautiful pictures and has great information for each month included. The only real difference is that it was designed to hang from 2 pins rather than one. I solved this by carefully measuring the center top, in line with the existing mounting holes and simply drilled a new hole. It hangs fine and looks great.
I would recommend it to others and would buy it again next year. I'm a very satisfied customer.
