Product Description

Product Description

2 - 5 players take turns laying down cards in a central pile. Instead of the basic suits found in a standard deck of cards dabong! uses Earth Wind Water and Fire. The most common way a player lays down a card is by matching the suit or number of the card in the pile to a card in the player's hand. However there are additional options to play the players can play cards of the same suit that add up to the number in the middle. For example if a 10 of Fire is in the central pile a player could play a 2 a 3 and a 5 of Water all at the same time. A player wins when he/she has used all of his/her cards or through a dabong! A dabong occurs when a players cards add up to the central card regardless of suit.

A great game for friend and families!
It's easy to learn but then has lots of interesting layers.
Plus it's a really beautiful deck.

While not being a card game connoisseur per say, I enjoy playing this game because it involves some quick thinking and strategic planning. Like any new game you play for the first time, it takes a little getting used to for how the rules work. I think it was pretty inventive to design the deck with certain symbols and numbers that help you know how to play the card and what the card is worth. If you enjoy the old time games of Crazy Eights, UNO, and such, dabong! is the next step up because it utilizes bits and pieces of these other games as well as adding other exciting rules that no card game has seen before. While on vacation, we taught my wife's grandparents(who are late 80's and early 90's), how to play the game and they caught on after a few practice rounds. I would recommend purchasing this game.

This is a fantastic game. The rules can be changed to accommodate young or new players or made to be advanced. Combines a lot of classic card games into one. I highly recommend this as a stocking stuffer!!! Also, I don't think Amazon will let me post the link, but if you google the name of the game and our newspaper "Mlive" you can read all about how it was created by some biology professors from Kalamazoo college on a camping trip!

I haven't played card games very often for years... and then I was introduced to this one. It's seriously addictive! I play it for hours with my family and friends, and surprisingly I just want to play it more. There hasn't been a game I've liked this much in a looooong time.

There is a strong competitive aspect, which means you never know what's going to happen. I get better at my strategy all the time, but sometimes I'm sure I'm going to win and then the person I just taught to play promptly beats me. It's a nice surprise... even though we have to play again, then, so I can redeem myself.

I like that there are several layers of rules. I was able to pick it up in just a few minutes and get started. When I thought I had mastered it I started playing the intermediate rules. It was even better!

If you like to play games with your friends, get this one and get them playing. I've even made a few new friends because of this game!

I love this game! My boyfriend brought it over and we played it for hours. I am throwing a party and bought a second deck so everyone can play. It has 3 levels of play - beginner level is very similar to UNO. The intermediate round is more challenging and the advanced level is the complex and creative (in a good way).

This card game is fun for several people to play or just a few. It has more challenges than some other
popular card games. It requires more thinking which makes it more fun and entertaining. The art work on the
cards is exceptionally well done. Nicely packaged, easy to take anywhere. Easy to play in a variety of settings.

I've never played a card game that is as addictive as this one. The game moves quickly once you learn how to play and there are lots of quirks that can make the game real competitive. The beginner level can be learned in about 5 minutes and is a lot of fun, but the game really kicks into gear at the intermediate level. You're permitted to unload many cards on a single turn, which really keeps the game moving quickly! Move over Uno, there's a new game in town that requires more thought!
