Couple of minor complaints:
(1) The LAN drivers were absolutely useless, or nonexistent, out of the box. Windows 10 didn't recognize them and I had no ability to get online. I had to use another computer, download network drivers, put it on a thumb drive, go back to my new computer and install the drivers from that thumb drive. Took 20-30 minutes and was annoying. I heard Windows 10 network drivers can be finicky so YMMV.
(2) I had to use an extension cable provided by my power supply to get my front case fan to connect to the appropriate connector on the motherboard. It would have been nice if such a connector was available on the lower right of the motherboard (closer to the front the computer case). Not a huge deal.
I tried everything from switching out CPU, PSU, connecting and reconnecting EVERYTHING. Cleaning. Taking out power and holding the power button down for over 30 seconds to draw out the juice. Something I read about a million times as a fix. I tried with one stick of ram I tried in the appropriate slots. I tried resetting CMOS or in this case RTC (real time clock) for the ram. I tried taking out RTC battery.
CPU works on my ASUS z270-a prime. Power supply switch did not work. Taking out graphics card did not work. Trying different video connections did not work. Trying with only CPU and video connection did not work. I'm not sure if I can send it back as I do not kNø if all the screws are back in the box. Plus I do not have wrapper for mobo. I read many reviews and several people had my exact problem with no luck. I'm sad. I know when I call ASUS they tell me to do all of the things I above mentioned. Someone Help?
With that being said I am currently running my 6600k at 4.6 GHz. That's a nice jump up from the stock 3.5. I could most definitely go further but at this point that will mean messing with voltages.
Anyway, fantastic board.
-- Nice spacing
-- Nothing too awkward about it
-- Nice color if you don't want something extremely flashy
Other than the size issue all is well.
My build used an Intel i7 6700 cooled by a Corsair H90, 2 sticks of Corsair Vengeance 8GB RAM, a PNY CS1311 120GB SSD, a 1TB Western Digital Hard Drive, and a EVGA GTX 950 FTW graphics card, powered by a Rosewill VALENS-600M power supply, comfortably installed inside a spacious Fractal Design Define R4.
