plug it in and go, instantly reached 750k hashrate so yeah I'm quite happy with this card. several other brands have taken quite a bit of tuning to get anywhere near 700 but this one just works
Ordered two of these cards. Shipping was fast, however one card was defective. I'm currently going through the exchange process. I'll update this after the exchange takes place.
Hopefully it goes quickly as I'm using these to hash Scrypt cryptocurrency and difficulty increases daily, making this a very time sensitive purchase.
On the plus side, if you're using these to mine Scrypt you can expect roughly 730mh/s and the card (the one that worked) runs at a cool 70c. Not sure what a 2x setup would run as I never had a chance to start the other card (purple lines on screen when it was installed).
These are large three slot cards. Get risers if you have a small case and space on your mobo is an issue.
Although slightly higher priced than some other R9 280X cards, Asus's quality makes the extra cost well worth it. The card installed with no problems in my mid-size case (and it is a very long card). I did have to remove the lower 3.5 inch drive bays (which were not being used) to get it to fit, but all the manufacturers use the same form factor. I really like how very quiet the card is under load. Even in full gaming mode, it is quiet. It does draw a bit of power through the two (required) 8-pin molex connectors, but the excellent fan system exhausts most of the heat outside the case. The ambient temperature inside my case, even in full gaming mode, is only 22C (72F). The graphics performance is everything I could expect from the card and handled all my Steam games without any glitches, slowdowns, or tearing.
