Beautiful colors, great contrast, brightness, and speed. The default settings work great for me during the day, might be a little bright at night but I'm reluctant to tinker just yet. No dead or stuck pixels, absolutely nothing wrong. Fantastic quality.
The monitor is a little top heavy and wiggles quite a bit when my printer is printing, or when the downstairs neighbor runs their out of balance washing machine. I live in earthquake country too, so a little more ballast in the base would have been appreciated. Looking for ways to secure the base to my computer desk.
Only concern was the rebate process seemed a little shady, go to a website and register fill out and print this form, cut the upc and s/n from the box, use this label or your rebate will be denied, include packing list (which Amazon did not send) or invoice (I was able to print the invoice off the amazon site) follow all these procedures to the letter or we will deny you! Oh and the website cut off my apartment number so I had to write it on the form manually.
While it is a $20 rebate in 8-10 weeks they offer an "expedited" rebate of $18 in 5-7 days but we're warned to NOT inquire about rebate status for 3 weeks.
So I mailed the required paperwork in and over a week later I get an email indicating my rebate was approved and they'd mail out my amex card in 5-7 days. So with transit time that's actually going to be closer to three weeks, not the 5-7 days I paid extra for. If the rebate does not arrive (or is misdirected because of the apt # being truncated) I will update accordingly.
But the product itself? FANTASTIC!

AWESOME but....
Dropped one star due to produce description from manufacture is MISLEADING. ASUS VE248Q 24" Full HD 1920x1080 2ms Monitor for ~$120.00 is just AWESOME. However take note that this is NOT a LED monitor but a LCD monitor THAT IS BACK LIT with LEDs. So, you know that you are paying and getting an LCD monitor not an LED monitor. The "From the manufacture" section describes the ASUS VE248Q 24" monitor as "Classic and Elegant- The VE248Q Full HD LED monitor, with HDMI interface, is optimized for the finest image and color quality." HOWEVER please be aware that it is not an LED monitor but is a LCD monitor that is back lit with LEDs, see pics.
