In this gem you will learn that circumstances can change your life forever. Readers be prepared to be drowned in an array of emotions love, friendship, betrayal, insecurities and heartbreak. Ms Wilson impressive imagination will astound you. You will feel every forbidden kiss to the orgasmic touch that will leave you in a state of euphoric desire. The connection between the main character's is unfathomable and true. Law's arms was Cami safe haven no matter the distance.
In this eloquent masterpiece I guarantee that you will be rendered speechless, leaving imprints on your heart. A.M. Wilson I am in awe of brilliance. Simply Amazing. Five stars guaranteed
What Cami and Law went through as kids/teenagers is heartbreaking, and A.M. Wilson knows just how to make you feel every bit of that pain. She sucks you in with her words, leaving you as distraught as the characters. I felt several emotions during this book. Humor, especially for her friend Kiersten. Hatred, I wanted to punch the daylights out of Law at times. Compassion, for what they went through. Sad, for the unfairness of their situation. I rooted so hard for Cami and Law to work through and get past their problems.
I absolutely loved this book, and although I’ve loved all of A.M. Wilson’s books so far, this one I think is my favorite!!! It’s definitely a must read, especially if you love the not so traditional love story!!
Cami has a good life… a career as a paramedic, a home, and a wonderful child. Things many take for granted. But for Cami, the life she leads is a gift, albeit one lacking in the romance department. Pregnant at sixteen, Cami left her family in order to have her child. Moreover, she left the only place she called home in order to protect Lawrence from a secret that would have devastated him. Yeah, Cami is selfless.
Mercurial is an understatement in describing Lawrence Briggs. He must be one of the moodiest book boyfriends I have ever read. If you’re looking for a guy that’s going to give you the warm and fuzzy feeling throughout the book, then you’ll have to look elsewhere. He’s definitely not for everyone. Law keeps you on your feet: you never know if he’s going to say something sweet or something that will make you want to slap him. Full disclosure: I love it when I don’t know what to expect from a book boyfriend. Moreover, I love it when they have a dirty mouth like Law.
This is my first book by A.M. Wilson and it’s certainly not going to be my last. This gem is beautifully written and took me on a bit of an emotional rollercoaster ride. With so many years and secrets between Cami and Law, you can’t help but wonder: how are they going to be able to put the past behind and move forward?
This second chance story is filled with several twists and turns. There were times when I placed my palm against my chest almost in tears, times when I uttered “what the what?” and times I wanted to shake and slap Law.
I look forward to reading more of A.M. Wilson’s books and hope she’ll write Kiersten’s story.
