The spatula was smaller than I expected but I will still use it. The biggest negative review issue from those that I read seemed to focus on the sticker which is put directly on the blade. It is a thicker label than usual and the adhesive is stronger than usual but this can be used to your advantage when removing it. The sticker actually hangs over the edges of the spatula blade which actually made it easy to completely remove. First, don't just try to rip it off fast as this will apparently result in failure. Take your time and apply a firm pulling pressure and allow the sticker to slowly separate from the blade. It took me less than one minute to remove the label in one firm continuous pulling motion. Voila! The entire sticker came off with a minimal amount of effort and it came off completely leaving no sticky residue at all.

Ok so this guy right here is supposed to be used for icing a cake apparently. What do I use it for? Making the perfect peanut butter and jelly sandwiches. If you are struggling to remove the sticker, run a thin stream of very hot water from your tap between the sticker and the blade as you slowly pull the sticker off. It works perfectly - no residue at all.

There I was, with my absurdly thin butter knife, trying to scrape up enough mayonnaise from the bottom of the jar, My hands were getting more mayo than the knife, and spreading it on bread seemed to take forever.
Disgusted, I took to the 'net to find something that might make putting together a sandwich a little easier. Then this little gem showed up.
I don't know what it's supposed to be for, but it's great for mayo (and, presumably, Miracle Whip). It's long enough to reach the bottom of most jars, and the long, flat blade is great for holding a good sized portion of mayo. Plus, it's easy as anything to spread that mayo around.

Sticker makes it USELESS - Don't Buy

The spatula looks find. Problem is I will never be able to use it. The sticker they put on it is nearly impossible to get off. And when you do get it off it leaves a big square of some of the strongest glue you have ever seen. I tried WD40 and GooGone and it still has remnants of the glue. WHY would a company put this type of sticker on the working part of a utensil for FOOD is beyond me! It goes to show the company appears to not care about food safety.

I DO NOT recommend this product, there are MANY equally good or better products in this niche.

Wow, people... let's hijack an item review because we can't manage to remove a sticker... sorry about that, now onto why you're here!

I bought the small because I already have a 12" one for frosting cakes. In the short amount of time I have had this, it's become one of the most valuable tools in my kitchen arsenal. Excellent for PB, jam, mayo, icing cupcakes, just about anything you need to spread. The small size makes it versatile and the blade is short enough to keep tension. So get some goo-gone and a razor blade and order this thing!

This is a wonderful spatula. Ateco brand cake decorating products never let me down. This is a sturdy spatula with a thin sharp edge, perfect for icing a flawless cake (...in my line of work that's important!).
I agree with all of the other reviews about the label being stuck to this spatula with a super-adhesive glue. As of July 2021, the seller hasn't fixed that problem. I was able to remove all of the glue and label by boiling water on my stove and letting the end of the spatula with the label sit in it for 3-5 minutes. Most of the label peeled off (with some force). I was able to remove the small bit of glue residue by reinserting the end back into the boiling water and rubbing the area in question. Just a couple of minutes, and the label and glue was completely removed. In my "professional" opinion, running it under hot water would take a LOT longer.

I bought the 6 inch spatula but overall length is almost the size of a ruler. What in the world would I use such a huge spatula for. My own fault for not paying closer attention. This is just huge, so I was shocked! I am enclosing a picture of it next to my rather large butter knife. Not only is it long but it's very wide too.

And the 4.5 is actually 4 1/4. It's great for leveling flour and other granular products.

I’m a cake maker and had this make before and it lasted me over 15 years. I had to purchase a new one so did so in June. I notice straight away that the quality was not as good as my old one and I was right. 4 months later and the blade has a crack in it.
