The spatula would be fine except that the label attached to the blade. It was stuck on with such a strong adhesive that removing the label from the blade required the use of two vice grip, one to hold the label and one to hold the spatula. The removal had to be done extremely slowly, as too much force would have broken the blade from the handle. After gently and slowly removing the label, a significant residue remained. I tried several adhesive removers, none of which worked. When I finally found one that would remove the adhesive, it also removed the finish on the blade, rendering the spatula unusable. I ended up having to purchase one locally at twice the price. As long as the packaging does not change, this is not worth the purchase price. You may as well throw the money down the garbage disposal.

I purchased 3 sizes of these and the quality is nice. No sharp edges on the wood handles and the blades are well polished with just enough flex. Made in Japan per the stamp on the blade.

The reason they don't get five stars? Each one had a sticker/hang tag on the end of the blade that is maddening to remove. The adhesive is so strong you can easily break a fingernail or two trying to peel off the sticker. I've never dealt with anything like it. You may get the sticker off the blade in one piece being fairly thick, but good luck with the adhesive still stuck to the blade. I used Goof Off to remove it but it took multiple coats to remove all the adhesive followed by hot water and dish soap to remove the solvent.

Yo could probably use a sharp scraper to save your fingernails at the risk of scratching up the mirror polish on the blades, I just think there has to be a better way. A lanyard hole in the handle and a loop with a tag would be a great improvement and give a place to hang them up as a bonus!

I would never have thought there can be any issue buying a small offset spatula, it's such a simple kitchen gadget, but I was surprised, first of all, the sticker was super sticking and it's on the metal part of the spatula, so it was tricky to get the sticker off, and then after I washed the sticker residue off the spatula, the color of the wooden handle came off, it left a brown stain on my kitchen towel and kitchen counter even after couple washes...

It probably fell off the counter and into the garbage or maybe I'll yet find it. I didn't know where I got it but there is nothing like the feel of a wooden handle. I'm a creature of habit, and if I had something I liked, I want one EXACTLY like it.

Well this one is perfect, just like the one I lost. So I'm a happy camper. BTW, it's top quality, says made in Japan on the stainless part.

This little tool is handy in my kitchen. I guess I already had a plastic straight slim spatula which I thought was fine, but once I tried using this offset spatula I really don't know why I didn't buy one sooner. Being offset, it prevents getting my knuckles all covered with frosting and batter. It's a clever, well-made little tool and one I intend buy as gifts for my family.

I've got both this small offset spatula and the medium size. When I bought them, I thought I'd be primarily using the medium one for decorating and frosting tasks, but I've actually found more uses for the smaller 4.5 inch one.

Not only is this smaller spatula easier to handle when making frosting swirls on cupcakes and along the sides of full sized cakes, it's the perfect tool to use when spreading filling for jelly roll style baked items such as cinnamon buns. I also use it to even up strusel toppings on coffee cakes before baking, lifting brownies out of a baking pan, and spreading fillings between layers of cake batter. The smaller size makes it so much easier to get into the corners of the baking pans.

The spatula is sturdy and has a real wood handle. The stainless steel flexible blade means that you won't have to worry about rust or discoloration over time.

Well made, affordable, and versatile. Highly recommended.
