I've been buying these from my local ACE Hardware for the past couple of years, after seeing one of my contractors wearing something similar.

These are great all-around gloves -- sufficiently warm on cold days, but not uncomfortable on cool days. Durable enough for most tasks such as electrical work, yard work, framing, painting, tiling, plumbing. In fact, the only tasks I purposely don't use them for are soldering copper pipe with an open flame, and heavy lifting abrasive items such as paving stones and cinder blocks. I've even used worn out Atlas gloves for hand-digging in the dirt, though beware that this quickly eats away at the fingertips.

The back is a medium weight mesh that is clingy and breathable. The palm is a medium weight plastic nitrile coating that is very durable. The cuff is heavier than the fabric at the back of the hand, and heavily elasticized. Mine typically fail at the upper knuckle, but usually only after lots of use and some abuse.

I typically bounce between large and extra large gloves, and the Atlas XLs are my preferred choice, though I have fit comfortably into their Larges previously (large fits me, but the fingers are a bit too short). There's a bit of room for error here because the gloves are so elastic.

In a nutshell, these are good to have in all temps and for most work conditions, much more comfortable but not as durable as leather, though a good bargain (especially in bulk here on Amazon).

These gloves are great. They hold up very well; so far I've used them in the garden, for painting projects, to clean the fireplace, throwing out leaky chemical bottles, trash and for gripping small objects when my fingers would otherwise be too slippery. I've washed them with warm soapy water 7 times and there's been no change to the fabric or neoprene. I definitely recommend these for a variety of tasks and I've purchased several pairs for my family around the house, in the car and for work. There is also an all black version if you don't enjoy the pastel colors.

I recently bought the green version of these gloves as a gift. A review for the pink would be helpful I thought, so here we go: The biggest surprise for me was the packaging itself - the tags said they are Equestrian gloves, for working with horses. There is a big picture of a horse on the tag, saying something like "Your horse will thank you for it!" No where on the package did it say work gloves for gardening, which is the use I had entended them for. However, the package did say "Atlas NT370 Nitrile" before the words equestrian, so I just figure that is the way they come. I took off the tags before wrapping.

I bought the small size and tried them on, but there is a little extra room at the finger tips - I have child sized hands so that's not surprising. I was impressed by the Nitrile covering - I can see how it would be easy to work with small seeds - the Nitrile seems to be a slip-proof grip. The places where the Nitrile covers - bottom of hands and finger tips - would be waterproof, while the top of hand and wrist are made of a breathable weave - like a thick, soft mesh fabric. The packaging says the fabric does not get stiff when it gets wet.

Bottom line, great glove for any type of outdoor work - inlcuding working with animals and plants. Not waterproof, but water resistant. Appears to be washable, which is always great. It doesn't say washable anywhere on the packaging, but the ad on amazon says washable - well, you can just tell that they are. Would buy them again, especially for under $5.00!

Some of my job requires dexterity, while also being in a volatile situation. When I use these gloves... my hands are cut-free. What sets these apart from others, is that the Nitrile is thin, and very tough as well. To give an comparison... these are to gloves as Vibram rubber is to shoe soles!! Light and tough as nails.

Most garden gloves are too big for my hands and to bulky. One size does not fit all. If you really want to wear gloves while digging in the garden, etc., they need to fit like a second skin, so you can manipulate your tools safely. These are the only ones I have found that really do fit my hands comfortably.

Just great gloves. They offer excellent protection while allowing the wearer to maintain dexterity like no other glove I've ever worn. I use them for every project around the house, from gardening to carpentry.

My absolutely favorite garden gloves. If possible, I prefer to dig in the dirt without gloves. When I found these, I was surprised to find that they were as good as bare hands. I can dig in the dirt and feel what I am working on. Desert soil is full of rocks and sand. The gloves survive the harshest treatment without holes. I have ordered online by quantity so that I don't have to look for them in the stores. Thanks!!!

I received these Atlas Nitrile Garden Gloves as a Christmas present many years ago and since then have used no other gloves for all my general gardening chores. I take care of extensive gardens and a green house. I also have given them as gifts to fellow gardening friends and garden club members.

They never get hot or give me wet hands and last almost forever too. Washing in machine works great never tried to dry them in drier, hang to dry instead.
