He does not say "crispy critters" in Russian. I'm not sure if I should type it here because the phrase does contain a Russian expletive, but it translates to something completely different. What he actually says sounds better and is funnier.

This is the Soviet Union for crying out loud. There is no place for these English speaking characters. Maybe if they attempted a Russian accent at least. But I doubt that would help (*cough* Metro). It just feels so...lame. I can't find the right word. Listening to the characters speak Russian makes it feel much more authentic. It fits the tone, and immerses the player in the world that much better. The quality and caliber of acting is so much better too. The English voice over is half assed, and...just plain horrible. It's a nice way to learn a bit of Russian as well if one is interested.

Other than my suggestion/complaint I absolutely love this game. It ended much too soon, but the DLCs do a good job to make up for that. And as for all the flak this game has been getting in the media (and from some reviewers) because it's Russian....why did you buy it? They have offices in Cypress, yes, but also in St. Petersburg and Moscow.))

Vladimir Putin would approve this game.)

I enjoyed this game. It was fun and challenging, a first person, single player game kinda like Bioshock. But had I known this was created by a Russian developer I may have done some research to find out whether the company supports Vladimir Putin and his dirty war in Ukraine. I don’t want to support that venture but it might not be fair to punish every Russian company. I’ve since read that the developer is now based in Cypress and considers itself anti war. I’d still like to know more.

I was really looking forward to this game back when you had to preorder it via their website to get a physical copy. It looked amazing and just an overall cool concept. Now, I have it andddd....it def needs more work.

It does feel clunky at times and there is a FPS drop on certain cut scenes.
You kinda just randomly die?? Like there's no explanation and the screen goes black/red and off to the last checkpoint you go. It can be semi frustrating.
I do wish there were more options in the setting, like adjusting the performance or making text bigger (because really, its tiny).
I kinda regret getting it now since it really needs more work but here's hoping further patches fixes things.

EDIT: Def need to wait a while for more patches and fixes. And just overall game adjustments.

Playing further in I really wish more explanation or tutorial on things were included in the game. At occasion you might get a random reminder. The open world is nice...until you realize you can't kill everything and get a second of peace.
There is no minimap nor can you select points. You'll be going back and forth trying to remember where to go for training grounds.
Platforming? Buggy as hell. Sometimes he sticks and alot he doesn't. It gets so frustrating.
Again, there is potential for such a good game. The world is interesting and I love the Russian cartoon and music - it reminds me of my childhood. This game needed more polish and testing before release for sure.

This game is awesome it’s like a throwback to 1990s bad language, not politically correct but full of aliens or robots and monsters that you have to fight it is a great game. It’s very difficult these days to find a first person shooter game, but this is a really really good one. I have literally played this game three times now because it has really great playability.

Played a few hours and then the bugs and glitches began. Can’t move far without falling through the map. I get that it’s supposed to be a city in the clouds but seriously, stepping off pavement sends me falling but I can walk on water? Hopefully the developers send a patch soon!

Truly, what a game! Its like a modern Bioshock physchodelic trip with its own inspirations and design choices ofcourse. You can clearly see the passion and hard work that went into this project. From very intricately crafted underground environments (everything is so mesmerizing to look at, see pictures I took on my ps5, even the semi-open world is breathtaking), to the interconnectivity of the levels, to absolutely insane attention to little details, to a very gripping and dark story, and a good narrative to back it up, beautiful graphics, good combat (robots take visible damage after every hit or shot), intense and creative boss designs and battles (I started Armageddon difficulty off the bat for trophy), funny glove conversations, or the naughty upgrade fridge Nora, this game has been such a pure joy to play. The performance on PS5 has been absolutely solid with zero stutters. Considering that this is the studios first game, it performs, plays, and looks far superior then most AAA games. With that being said, Atomic Heart truly has exceeded all expectations and more, and I know I'm not alone, check steam reviews for example. Please go and do yourself a favor and experience this masterpiece.
