About the Author
Brian Clevinger writes comics. He's worked for Marvel, DC, IDW, and Dark Horse, but he's mostly known for co-creating the action adventure series Atomic Robo with Scott Wegener. You can read it right now at atomic-robo.com.
Scott Wegener was a flight instructor which naturally dovetailed into drawing comic books. He's worked for just about every comics publisher out there, but he spends most of his time cranking out new pages of Atomic Robo.

This series is extraordinary. It is witty, smart, and irreverent in all the best ways. Atomic Robo Tesla is finally a comic book robot that gets my humor.
You should not only get this book, you should buy it for everyone you know.
This Monster Tome is printed on good paper with excellent production values.
Atomic Robo is wise cracking fighting robot invented by Nikola Tesla. His adventures can and do take place in any era since his creation. He is a great character.
Brian Clevenger does all the writing in a humorist fun style. Scott Wegner does all the art for the main story. His style is quirky and simplistic. It is kind of a Fred Hembeck meets Mike Mignola style.
When Atomic Robo debuted in 2006 each story was a stand alone with the exception of one two parter. The last one in the first Trade was a two parter.
The second trade is a cohesive story set during World War 2. Evil Nazi War Machines. The final trade is a composite of the first two featuring individual , different era stories which merge in the end to form one over arcing plot involving Lovecraft like Aliens. In fact HP Lovercraft and Charles Fort both make appearances.
Often through the run Atomic Robo would feature a very short back up story by a different artist. All the Atomic Robo shorts are collected in the back of this volume. I might have preferred them printed in the order they were created but that is a small point.
For all of you who already love Atomic Robo you can stop reading now and go out and get a copy.
But for me, I had only read the first couple floppies and loved the Introductory issues. So maybe it was never supposed to be read like this, almost 500 pages in two days but by the end I was getting bored.
Here what I would have liked to have seen.
First on honest to goodness Orgin Story. I always imagined the creators would get to it, but it never comes. Maybe in the next Omnibus.
Second a supporting cast. Yes each story or storyline has a cast but they do not continue. Take Hellboy for instance this is a similar concept but with a lot less humour. But it is a book in which stories can jump from era to era, but still we have a large and equally interesting supporting cast.
Oh well it is a great concept, maybe it's just me.
