These work OK for holding most hand tools.
Update: been using these for a while now and they have held up well, so moving to 4 stars.
When zipped the zipper does not connect all the way to the end.
I'm putting zip ties, USB, charging cables, computer adapters, and tools in these.
For the price, they work for me and I am happy with them.
"Heavy Duty" didn't quite measure up to my expectations. The fabric seems durable, but is not as thick as an average pair of jeans which are generally in the 14 oz to 16 oz range, and definitely not anywhere near the thickness of a green army-style tool bag (which is what I was anticipating).
Same with the zippers, which aren't junky, but don't measure up to my notion of what should come on a tool pouch.
No matter, these ought to be durable enough to survive years of doing nothing any more stressful than living in my spare tire well, holding an assortment of ratchets, sockets, wrenches. plastic straps, and loose bolts, which for years is a task I assigned to heavy duty Ziploc bags.
Naturally I'll update if, down the road, they fail to meet expectations.
One thing – the seams were pretty poorly sewed. I had hoped it would have come with a much stronger reinforced backstitch. If anything pointed (i.e. scissors) are stored in the bag, they might push through the sides. It wasn't enough of a problem that I feel the need to take off a star – just flip the canvas inside out, reinforce the seams with a standard stapler, et voila.
The zipper on the closing end doesn't really finish well, or consistently. It's hard to explain, but basically the way the zipper is sewn onto the bag loses consistency towards the end so the zipper can't really finish closing the bag. Not too big of a deal, but I wish it did close so I could trust it to hold tiny items.
