I purchased this as a booster antenna for my husband's portable digital tv/dvd player. He is an OTR truck driver, and depending on how remote a location is that he stops at for the night, he may not be able to pull in many channels on his tv. With this antenna, he tells me, that he is able to pull a few more channels at each location where he has stayed (mostly at the Southern part of Michigan and Northern part of Indiana) than he can with the antenna that came with his tv. I did look on the FCC website to see which channels were available in those areas and there really aren't many with good signals because it's not a well populated area. This is something everyone needs to check out before purchasing a portable tv or booster antenna because no matter how good or strong an antenna is, if there is no signal to pick up, it isn't gonna work. That being said, I will repeat that this booster antenna does what it is supposed to do and that is pick up more signals/channels than the one that came with the tv did. I chose this model because the only metal that my husband has in his truck to attach this to is actually the metal braces for his side mirrors on the outside of his cab. This model has the clip feature that he needed to be able to attach the antenna to those with. He has said that he wished the clip were bigger where it could expand more to be able to clip onto thicker metal higher up on his cab because as trucks pull in and out of the area where he parks, he loses the signal for a few seconds at a time. This is the only reason I didn't give it five stars. He is pleased with this product. If something were to happen to this one, we would purchase another.

This TV antenna worked very well for me. I am about 7 miles away from the TV tower. It is cheap and it came with the connector adapter. This may not be a very high-end strong antenna, but you are not buying any expensive antenna. For my LG TV it has all the local channels. It is somewhat position sensitive and I have found the sweet spot near my TV in my living room... Worth giving a try.

I live in a large city with strong reception, so you would think any antenna would work - but a $30 amplified antenna that took up lots of space was not able to give me decent reception on even a handful of channels, whereas and this tiny thing gives two dozen crystal clear channels! The only drawback is that the suction cup isn't strong - only works on perfectly glossy glass/metal/plastic surfaces; but it also comes with a clip that you can attach to something tall & metal like a floor lamp or DVD rack for even stronger reception. Or if you find a perfect place that's hard to attach to, it's light enough to just stick on with one of those little double-sided adhesive foam pads.

We had a different antenna that costs about $30 that we got from the store (won't name the store). We got about 8-10 channels with that one. Well after only about 6 months it started to stop working. To have something til I could get something else we got one of these to hold us over. Well let me say, instead of going and getting something else, we ordered another one of these for the other TV. We get 21 channels on the big TV and 18 on the smaller TV. Couldn't have asked for any better!

I like this little antenna. I hooked it up to my Avermedia laptop USB TV tuner. It works as well as the large antenna I was previously using. Gets the same channels. It is much smaller to use and work with on my laptop. No complaints and a very cheap price.

This is an improvement over my portable tv's rod antenna, but it's not as good as your basic full size rabbit ears. When I got my new tv, I first scanned with the embedded rod antenna, and got a few stations. Next, I tried rescanning with this antenna, and got quite a bit more stations. Finally, I hooked up a full size "rabbit ears" antenna and got even more stations. But since you can't go around carrying your rabbit ears in your pocket, then this will have to do. It's a compromise between function and portability. My system:
RCA DHT235A 3.5 " tv
RF coaxial cable assemblyMCX male to F female
This antenna
PS The suction cup is nonfunctional, you press it down and it doesn't stick, just pops back up. Also the clip is unhinged, so unless the thickness of whatever you want to clip it to is just right, it won't work.

I should have done my metric conversions before purchasing two of these. The provided dimension of 115mm is 4.5" and that height is only achieved if both antenna are pointing straight up. The package it comes in is about the size of a small pack of cigarettes (70-85mm).

The picture of the antenna clamped to a flat screen TV is deceiving as that TV must be very small. The clip's clamping capacity is less than a 1/2" and not big enough to clip on most TVs. The suction cup option works if you have a flat surface that is reasonably horizontal, which rules out almost all flat screen TVs. But typical of most cheap suction cups, it won't stay attached for hours, much less days.

As far as performance, it did OK given its tiny size, but given the limited mounting options, you couldn't improve the signal easily. For a couple more bucks, I'm going to try this larger RCA antenna:
