I read reviews and watched videos on several "Smart locks" before deciding on the August Home, Wi-Fi Smart Lock (4th Generation). It installed quickly. I picked the coupling that I thought fit best and went through the short Wi-Fi set-up procedure. I was VERY disappointed when it would not operate consistently.
So, I called the customer service number. I got a call back in about 30 minutes or less. A very patient and pleasant rep helped me troubleshoot the problem. It took about 15 minutes for me to change to the correct (I had picked the wrong one) coupling piece and viola!
My wife and I really are pleased with the August Home, Wi-Fi Smart Lock (4th Generation). It integrated seamlessly with Alexa and unlocks as we approach the door. It looks nice and blends well with existing door hardware and works smoothly. I highly recommend this Smart Lock. 5 stars all the way.
