I bought this shredder in November 2019 and 5 months later it has stopped working. No power. Nothing works. Not worth the money. I’ve never had a shedder die so quickly. I don’t use it often. This should not have happened.

So it works great and cuts the paper very nice. The wheels are nice and it is easy to dump the trash out. BUT the on/off switch is a BIG problem, hard to move and does not seem sturdy, I fear it will break in the near future. Good for me if it breaks I know how to fix it. They need to design a better switch and I guess it will be OK after that, switch bad design. As far as the price goes I think it should be around $50 if I compare it with others. The trash bin is not all that big because you can't fill it all the way so you only get about 75% volume so they might as well say it is 3.5 gallons.

This thing is not small so if you have a small space you might want to consider a smaller model. It does have swivel wheels which is a great plus if you have to tuck it behind something and pull it out to use it.

The machine is very straight forward, ON, REV, FORWARD....The day after I got it I shredded two big paper grocery bags of paper and it didn't overheat....I probably had 10 sheets at a time and it shredded them without any problem. It did slow down a bit but no paper jams...

It also shredded up the credit cards very easily into small pieces that no one would be able to reconstruct... The only hesitation is the power button. It feels a little on the cheap side when you move it back and forth. I'm hoping it will hold up thru all the shredding.

I looked and researched for a long time to make sure I wasn't getting a lemon and that the shredder fit all my needs. There are better shredders out there but for the price this is an EXCELLENT choice. If you do a medium amount of shredding in your house this will more than meet your needs.

FYI you may have a problem putting a plastic bag in the basket. It kept registering full when it wasn’t. It’s very easy to empty though

I haven't oiled the shredder yet but I did get a 16 oz oil which I understand you're supposed to oil it about every month. I probably won't use it much more than once a day for a minute or two so I'm not sure when the first oiling will take place....

The shredder worked as advertised and handled different media such as CDs and DVDs. The cross cut is the best part and the bin is on wheels and opens easily. The only thing I will say is the shredder itself is very heavy. I have arthritis and live alone so it was a struggle to get it out of the box but I managed. It could be a little taller but I worked around that by sitting while operating the machine. Great value.

I replaced a smaller shredder so I like the power of this unit. The downside is the bin which pulls out forward and leaves you with a mess as the rest of the paper falls down from the shredder. Bring out the broom when you empty it. It would be better if the shredder just lifted off from the top leaving the bin which can then be emptied.

I like the fact that it is a cross-cut shredder i.e., little shredded pieces -- not strips. It easily cuts old credit cards, and many sheets of paper (mine is up to 14 pages at one time--bu I rarely go over 12 pages at a time, just to be sure). It's a little tricky to attach a trash bag to collect the shredded paper, but I usually use 2-3 small strips of tape to attach a trash bag to the inside. I highly recommend this shredder.

I had to shred a number of tax returns and other documents when my old shredder gave out on me. That one frequently would shut down on its own because its run time was limited to about 20 minutes. This Aurora product can go up to an hour of constant shredding before it shuts down and it actually never shut down because I took a break of my own about midway through the project.

The shreds are small, rectangular pieces that would be impossible to reconstruct particularly if you have an entire trash bag filled with them. I do not have a concern about the size in comparison to the micro shredders that are much more expensive and not worth it in my opinion. The 7-gallon bin is much bigger than my former shredder and results in very few trips to the trash can. I disagree with the reviewer who complained of shreds on the floor when emptying. I've had none in multiple emptyings of the bin and most bins will leave a few behind. With this shredder the bin rolls out from the rest of the shredder and then you can cleanly empty it into a trash can or garbage bad. I've been able to use 20+ sheets at once but have looked to max that at about 20 or you risk having the thing wear out more quickly by overloading it. It didn't jam once over a couple of hours of constant shredding which is a record for me.
