I was listening to a Persian singer I quite enjoy called Farhad Mehrad and his gentle but giant voice has a booming bass to it. With the old cables I could hardly perceive the depth of his singing and it was as if I was listening to YouTube audio quality. These cables enhanced the nuances of his style so amazingly well. It felt as though he was in the room with me and I could feel his words hitting my lungs.
There is hardly any hint of distortion, though I do notice some slight hissing when I turn the volume on my TV to 60+. This most likely has nothing to do with the cables themselves because I do not notice the hissing when plugging this cable to the speakers for my Ipod and turning it to maximum volume. Other than that, the experience has been wonderful and it is well worth to pay a little more for the type of quality these cables deliver.
My review is as follows:
a) Quality: 5 out of 5 - very well manufactured and insulated. No negative feedback from use and works as well as others have described
b) Product: 4 out of 5 - may take some 'breaking in' to get the cable to a more flexible and manageable condition. I bought this to use as a cable to connect my MP3 played to my Tacoma's auxiliary port. What I've found is that cable works well coiled (as it arrived from Amazon), but my MP3 player is hard to hold on to because of the 'stoutness' of the cable. The cable itselt has an outer cover like a strong nylon net wrapper and allows the cable to slide with ease.
All in all, there will be other uses for this cable and I surmise it will last a long time :)
I saw the poor reviews for this product so I ordered two, "just in case". The cords were spotty, at best. Sometimes, you could keep them from shorting out by applying constant pressure to the ends, but most of the time, that did not work. On rare occasions, one or the other would work fine, for maybe an hour. I would much rather have spent twice as much for one quality cord than have wasted my money. (side note- we tried both cords with numerous devices; including a brand new iPod, several older ones, an iPhone and a BlackBerry. It was not the devices, it was the cords that were problematic).

Didn't fit into my pod case very well. Got caught in the car door and broke. Total let down of a cord.Published 18 months ago by Chim Cheroo
It has great sound for what it is, but it barely ever fits in to anything with a case around the jack like my iPhone or iPad.Published 23 months ago by Christopher Rodgers

This is a great quality cable. I like the flexible cloth weave sheath. The connectors are good quality. The sound is great. What more can you ask from a cable? :)Published on March 16, 2014 by Ambrose
These cables are really wonderful. Whereas most cheap cables I get break after just a month or so in fairly standard mobile use, these guys haven't quit yet. Read morePublished on February 11, 2014 by pretendo
