PS100 Powerscan Circuit Tester AUTEL PS100 power probe follows and locates open or short circuit without having to move panels, molding or carpet to expose wires. No more fuses wasting.	PS100 Has More Functions Than a Multimeter Just choose the mode by pressing the mode button, and then contact the probe tip to a circuit, the LCD will read the DC/AV voltage, resistance.	PS100 With Two Power Connection Methods PS100 Circuit tester has TWO power resources. Directly connect the AUTEL PS100 with the cigarette lighter or battery electrode, then you are ready to test.

PS100 Power Probe DC Voltage Mode

DC Mode is the mode that the PS100 can supply battery power or ground by pressing the rocker switch.

DC mode is for testing DC (direct current) voltages.

Voltage testing is as easy as contacting the probe tip to a circuit and reading the display.

PS100 Power Probe AC Voltage Mode

You can adjust the sampling frequency by pressing the Up/Down Button.

The auxiliary ground wire is connected to one end of the circuit under test, and the probe contacts the other end of the test circuit.

The LCD will display the max and mini voltage value, and display the signal waveform in real-time.

PS100 Power Probe Resistance Testing Mode

The probe contacts one end of the measured resistance, and the auxiliary ground lead is connected to the other end of the measured resistance. The LCD will display the resistance between the tip and auxiliary ground lead. Can be used as continuity test.

[NOTE] When resistance value is less than 30Ω, the instrument buzzer will alarm and the green LED will light.

PS100 Power Probe Circuit Tester Can Output Electrodes

Contact the probe tip to bulb positive terminal, connect the auxiliary ground lead to the bulb negative terminal.

Press up to output positive electricity, and press down to output negative electricity.

The screen will display the forward voltage drop, which indicates forward bias.

If swapping the probe tip with auxiliary ground lead, the screen will not display voltage, which indicates reverse bias.

So much easier than using a multimeter

I found Operating this probe very useful in tracking down pesky electrical problems, but usually didn't have it handy when I was traveling and visiting repair shops while at work. Before purchasing this auto diagnostic tool I would fumble with a multimeter with short lead cords or have to try to create a power source from the battery for testing circuits and fuse panel. So, I bought this autel Vehicle Circuit Probe Kit to carry with me while the other stays at home.

Included in the circuit tester kit were all the items included in the description including:
*1 Circuit Probe
*1 Probe Tip
*1 Extension Cable
*1 Set Battery Clips
*1 12-Volt Adapter
*1 Case
*1 User's Manual

I added two black small Velcro cable wraps to quickly coil and loop up these long cables when putting them back into the case.

I'm a DIY mechanic that has spent hours diagnosing electrical issues with a multi-meter and test light... I really wish I'd purchased a power probe like this years ago. The pros have been using these for years, but I found the cost ($200+) in years past too much of an investment to make. Thanks to Autel, pricing on these types of 'specialty' items has become attainable for average Joes like me. I am still learning all of the applications in which I can use this power probe, but thus far it's one of my favorite 'new' tools.

This is a really nice diagnostics machine it is great for the electrical I got it because I got water inside my system causing a short so I got this to test out where the short happened and it was able to detect it pretty well and get my car running again. It comes with an extra extension cord and this is great because yeah for whatever reason your card dies in the middle of the road where you can park next to it and you have to park another car behind it you can actually use the battery of that car to power this on and see where the short happened and if you have like a truck or a really long car the extension cord will be able to get you all the way to the front of your car. There are two ways to power this one through the negative and positive of a battery or another one through the cigarette lighter port.
